I agree, I just purchased 4 foil ones for $12 total. The new set is going to have more snow Permanents. The foil copies should easily be a $20 or $30 card in years to come

With mishra's workshop, Mox and the lotus, it's possible to cast triskelion turn 1. Hanger backs will regularly be cast as 3/3 or 4/4. Once a big hit goes through sac the rest of artifacts in the board to Ravager then Ravager to itself to pump triskelion for lethal kill.

It's not an affinity deck and cranial plating would probably be too slow in the build. It's mostly an eldrazi affinity hybrid. Unfortunately I'm missing most of the power so I probably won't be play testing it for a while.

Pull a few sample hands and see what I mean about 5 mana turn 1.

Not with the aether vial and manaweft. It gets aggressive pretty fast.

I just won an FNM last week with this deck. Humans are junk. You should make a goblin deck.

Death shadow is designed to be eaten by varloz, not used by the orb. Torpor orb is for hunted horror and eater of days. Check out my legacy deck!! And I'm not teaching this year, I'm running ski shops in Boston.

You should toss in Gray, Merchant Aspodel, He's a staple in mono black decks!

Have you thought about slipping an Urborg in there? Then you can turn 2 Merit Lang

I just made an Endrek EDH deck and you have a bunch of cards here that Will work great in mine, and I'm guessing that I've come up with a few that will help you out as well!! It's called Sack Master

There are a whole bunch of cards that I can think of that would work great in this deck. I just made a mono black commander, you should check it out to find some gems!

I'm predicting the Torpor Orb drawing a counter spell, if not game 1, then definitely game 2. If not a counter spell then some kind of removal and I want to use it to my advantage as well as mess with any activations my opponent my be looking to cast.

Thanks! Yes, I think the orb will shut down the hydra. I like to leave multiple options for a kill. I guess the Hydra should go and I'm going to add Hidden Horror in place of it. I like Hidden Horror and have been trying to work with that creature since it first appeared in the Weatherlight set.

Now, I can cast it as a 3 drop 4/4 if the orb is out, or use it's ability to chuck a Death's Shadow and feed Varolz!

I'm very excited to give this deck some runs.
