Why would you use Child of Alara as a general? You can't even use his special ability, and if you ever did choose to send him to the graveyard, you couldn't get him back without a Rise from the Grave or something.

In case you hadn't noticed. There are tons of ways to get Child back in this deck. I've played Spideyjohn MANY times and child bomb goes off without a hitch
Crypt Angel
Beacon of Unrest (which you can use MANY times)
Recollect
Regrowth
Primal Command

I dont't think you understand the comment; and if the bomb has gone off, as you say, then you don't know the rules of the Commander format. The commander CAN NEVER HIT THE GRAVEYARD. Never. It will be placed back in the command zone INSTEAD. For Child's nuke to go off it has to hit the graveyard. So if you want to use Child of Alara in a Commander/EDH deck. Child cannot be the commander. Otherwise its just a 6/6 trample.

That being said! The deck looks really interesting. Remember you are allowed multiple copies of the basic lands if you want. The only thing I would suggest is to use Progenitus as your commander. then just have Child in the main deck. it would work much better.

"If a Commander would be put into a graveyard or exile from anywhere, its owner MAY choose to move it to the command zone instead*.

A commander which is face down in exile must be moved by any player to the command zone, face up.

* This is a replacement effect; the creature never goes to the graveyard and will not trigger such abilities.
* Commander will move to the library or hand as normal; only transitions to Exile or the Graveyard may be replaced.
* It is possible for a commander to be moved to exile while face down, such that its owner does not possess the knowledge required to apply the aforementioned replacement effect. All players have an equal responsibility to move the commander to exile as soon as possible; knowingly failing to do so is cheating."

Any commander can go to both exile or the graveyard as normal, but the player has the choice to move them back to the command zone to be re-cast. If they choose to have it move to either exile or the graveyard instead, then they can't re-cast it as if it were in the command zone, they have to use the conventional means of bringing it back. So yeah, this works.

No prob man. I have a buddy who made a "Wooberg" EDH deck, and it originally used Progenitus. He kept finding that even with all the ramping and speed of his deck it took a bit too long to get out Progenitus, so he revamped it to use the Child. Now it's a pretty brutal deck...

Yeah I had the same problem..it felt like you spent too much time spending on rampin and none of kickin ass and takin names..but my deck as is ramps pretty fast..I keep thinking of primeval titan but every time I do I can never find a spot.

Well I have one suggestion to make then, use Disentomb. I noticed its wasn't on your list? it is exactly the same as recollect, just cheaper. Its also a really easy card to get your hand on. You probably have one somewhere... Check it out.
