I got the idea for this deck from CovertGoBlue. I didn't really dig all of his picks so I added my own flavor to the deck. This is a 5 color deck that is not very fast, but has multiple routes to ramping mana. (Arboreal Grazer, Fertile Footsteps, Chromatic Lantern, Fabled Passage and Paradise Druid). The desk is designed to work well with NeoForm and Fires of Invention, but offers a lot of creative routes to take. A bad draw will kill the flow of this deck, so mulligan if in doubt.
Ideally you can get the Leyline on the draw with a Grazer, it's pretty typical to draw a dual land with green on it, spend the 2 life to get an extra land in play on turn 1. Get the Fires of Invention out ASAP and Neoform your lesser creatures into bigger ones.What's great about this deck is that it allows you to respond to just about any threat. There are some removal spells and creature abilities with removal (Knight of Autumn, Deputy of Detention, Garruk & Nicol Bolas, Time Wipe and Casualties of War). If you haven't played a spell in your turn yet, you can use the special abilities of the creatures to respond to a particular enchantment/artifact threat, generate card draw, boost life total, or remove a potential blocker. Neoform makes it so that you can tutor up a specific card as needed; great for frustrating an opponents strategy.Kenrith in this deck is almost OP (haste for all creatures, +1/+1, 5 life gain, card draw, or resurrecting creatures from the graveyard to the battlefield untapped) as are the 2 Planeswalkers. Having Klothys out gains you 2 life and takes 2 life from the opponent every turn. Having Rienne out makes all of your multi-color cards end up back in your hand at the end of your turn if they die. Niv Mizzet can refill your hand (best to throw that card first if using Fires so that your second card is playable.I sometimes call this deck Big Boys Don't Cry, I have had people tap out with a 37 to 4 lead. Some people scoop when Nicol Bloas enters or even Fires of Invention. Pulling off an all 5 spell Casualties of War may earn you a quick win as well.Mill decks are a pain, as is Mono Red Aggro if the opponent gets a good draw and pulls. I have a much higher win rate vs all other types, about 40% on mono red and probably closer to 20% vs Mills.Very fun deck to play. The ability to react to nearly any threat is awesome and once you get your mana right, the offensive might you can build up will generally oblige a GG and scoop.
