I've always loved the Flash Hulk combo, and combining that with Spike and Living Wish makes the deck maybe possibly ever-so-slightly more consistent because those cards are at your disposal through 8 others in the main deck. Even if it's less consistent or worse, I thought it was an interesting idea to pursue to some extent.
The original Flash Hulk combo is as follows: Play Flash to put Protean Hulk on the field, which then gets sacrificed to Flash. On that death trigger, you tutor out all 4 Disciple of the Vault, Phyrexian Marauder, and Shifting Wall, the latter two of which immediately die and trigger each Disciple 8 times for a total of 32 damage. Since those two vital cards are in your sideboard, you have to use Spike and Living Wish to get them out of there. Since Spike's casting cost is half Phyrexian mana, you can cast her for only 2 mana if you pay 4 life, in this case using Mana Crypt. Since the 8 life cost of tutoring from your sideboard can start to lower your life total to an alarming level, Dark Ritual is there to hopefully help reduce the pain. Lotus Petal provides some much-needed mana of any color for whatever it may require in any given situation. The rest is pretty self-explanatory: Demonic Tutor to search for Spike/Living Wish, Gitaxian Probe for free card draw, Dismember to remove threats from your opponent's board, and Serum Powder for trash hands.
