This deck is meant to stop your opponents from playing anything. They want to play a creature? Counter it. Want to attack with a creature? Tap it. It’s almost like a slower mill deck, when you think about it, because you’re making all of their cards useless to them, as a mill deck does.
If you can, get as many lands out as possible so you can cast Guile quickly and be able to play any counter spell you want for nothing for mana cost; just remove it from play. It’s not like you’re going to take anything from your graveyard and play it again, so what’s the point of paying mana costs if there’s no point in doing so? Use Claustrophobia and Encrust to make it so that if your opponents somehow slip through the grasp of counters, you can just make whatever they put out useless.
