Monastery Stormchasers

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

This deck is just my take on a modern deck focused on creatures which get powered up through pump-up spells and protection.

Although this is extremely expensive, you could reduce the cost by nearly 400 dollars by replacing the Scalding Tarns and the Pact of Negation for more basic lands although it might slightly hurt the flow of the deck.

P.S. Sideboard suggestions would be greatly welcome!

Creatures-


Monastery Swiftspear:
Quite explanatory. This card is one of the best aggressive cards, being able to become huge quite fast.

Stormchaser Mage:
Although you might think that it might be an odd choice next to a creature like Kiln Fiend, Modern is a very fast format and haste and evasion is slightly better than a slightly larger pump-up from playing spells.

Delver of Secrets:
Same as Swiftspear. This card has evasion which is an added bonus.

Blistercoil Weird:
Another great one drop. Can be great as it technically has vigilance.



Pump Spells-


Mutagenic Growth:
Essentially a free pump up spell which can be stacked with Temur Battle Rage and Artful Dodge to swing for massive amounts of damage

Brute Force:
Just a normal pump up spell.



Other Spells-


Artful Dodge:
Allows you to swing for the win. Can be used multiple times.

Apostle's Blessing:
Gives protection from some removal spells. Can act as a pseudo-unblockable spell.

Expedite:
Can give a Blistercoil Weird a free swing. Acts as a cantrip that pumps up your whole team.

Lightning Bolt:
Self explanatory.

Pact of Negation:
ONLY USE IF YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU CAN WIN THE GAME ON THE TURN YOU CAST THE SPELL. But seriously, you don't want to lose the game with this spell.

Temur Battle Rage:
The key piece in the deck. Without it, than the deck would be much, much slower.
