Deck discussion for Vampire B&R

Not a bad start. First off I'd say that vampires are capable of playing very fast, like, turn 5 win pretty often.

That said, I think that your equipment/enchantments are slowing you down. I'd say drop executioner's hood all together, and go down to 2 for both ring of xathrid and mark of the vampire.

This opens up space for fast and dangerous vampire creatures. CHild of Night is always a good card to have, and fume spitter (while not a vampire) is a fantastic one-drop.

Havengul vampire is slow and not very good. when you compare him to the other 4 mana vampires, he just can never stand up to them. So replace him with Vampire Nocturnus (kind of pricy but SUPER good)

RIght now you are really suffering in the early game, I recommend more control spells (go for the throat, murder, arc trail) as well as the creatures suggested earlier.

If you have any further questions, here is the Vampire Deck I run at my FNM.

Tanks a lot!
Yeah, i went shopping today I bought my deck. The uploaded version is the one I own, or will :P

The thing with Child of Night and Fume spitter is that I think they wont be available in tandard mode after October. I want a deck that'll last until Spring at least :P

If I decide to add tromkirk noble in this deck, what would you suggest to drop?

Thanks for the advices ;)

there's been a lot of B/R vamp decks coming out lately. hahaha

anyways, you're missing the essential one-drop for a B/R vamp aggro deck, which is stromkirk noble. and if that's somehow not an option, you'll have to find another one drop you can use to fill the space, 'cause most all good aggro decks will rely on that first turn summon to start the x turn clock on their opponent.

bloodline keeper is much better than rakish heir, so i suggest dropping the heirs for another copy of bloodline keeper, and some card draw, like altar's reap or sign in blood. you can also drop the havengul vampire, as it's a little expensive for a fast deck, and it's not so reliable anyway, as it can be easily taken out with instant spot removal or even a tough blocker.

blood throne vampire is a nice creature for this deck, since you'll be generating tokens with bloodline keeper, you'll have plenty to feed to bloodthrone to pump her for taking out bigger creatures or dealing good damage.

you can also drop the mark of the vampire, as it is also a little too expensive for what you intend to achieve. i suggest you throw in some copies of fervor, to speed thing up a bit more.

if you have the time, check out my grixis control deck, and tell me what you think.

Hey, What About i replace the fervor from the deck for Tribute to hunger? This card could match with blood artist and helps cleaning the opponent's battlefield
