Yeah, I stepped away from http://www.mtgvault.com/theswarmer/decks/modern-loam-pox/ cuz I want to make it in real life and can't really afford bloodghasts(I'd love to play with them as they are cheap recuring threats) and can't afford Abrupt Decay either.

Forgot I still ran 2 Worm Harvest.

Syphon Life: is here cuz I can't afford bloodghasts and I think it could help vs aggressive decks.

The removal is just stuff I found lying around and stuff that is cheap, through i might be really wise to cut 2 putrefy 1 verdict for gftt.

If i am to play death cloud, what to I cut?

yes but having 2 of them on oard is no good as you won't have enough mana to feed them both. I think that if you want to see it most games but don't need 2 or 3 of them each game you should run only 2 or 3.

Why are you running 4 Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle? and why no goblin piledriver. And pls cut 4 Stoke the Flames for 4 lightning bolt, your guys are attacking all the time and there will be no time to tap them to convoke.
Besides that this looks realy nice, I especially like the Guttersnipe+ all the spells that make dudes.

You don't need any more finishers, you got elspeth, Myth Realized, and Pearl Lake Ancient, through maybe you need bit more removal for specific threats.

Hmm, where do you intend on playing this?

Regardless of where you intednd to play you should do this:
Tell me if it is tempo or control
Replace shock wiht lightning bolt
Cut 4 cards, decks with more than 61 cards don't work in 60 card norm formats.

The budget decks have been pissing me off for quite some time now, ironic cuz i make them myself but what I really hate is that casual is being misinterpreted as budget. Casual and budget are 2 VERY different things yet people seem to think of them as if they were the same thing which they are not. And as you said in one of your earlier brainstorming articles: most of the budget decks on this site would get rekt by the intro packs.

I think I stand in the middle between competitive and budget with most of my budget decks.

1 more Murderous Cut maybe, you seem to have too much discard and not enough removal.

You simply don't need any finisher like that, Gavony Township, Thelon of Havenwood, Pallid Mycoderm and Intangible Virtue do the finisher job just fine. And most of the time your saprolings will just keep blocking and dying, with fungus decks you want to survive till the late turns and then start overwhelming with cards like Gavony Township and Savage Thallid.

I'd add more mass removal or just removal and add some creature that can be returned from the grave all the time, necroplasm, reasembling skelleton as a playset

LOL I expected it to preform that way, it's the nature of affinity. You get 5 things down on turn 1 and next turn you swing for 10, Contested War Zone and Ensoul Artifact add to the explosiveness of the deck. And if it goes to the late game you've got Cranial Plating and Master of Etherium.
It's a pretty good way to get into modern for cheap too.
