Deck Description

A couple hours ago I built a Seasons Past control deck for Pioneer, then I looked at the damned price tag, then at the fact that it is the type of deck I would not mind marrying and then I was forced by what I am assuming was my amygdala to make this; something I can definitely afford as it would cost me about a 100$ on account of already owning a lot of the more expensive pieces.

How to Play

Like most decks with an unreasonably efficient top end, we too mainly just need to survive the early game and then pray to Buddha that our relevant cards do not get counterspelled. Unlike most top-heavy decks, our top consists of shoveling all the cheap stuff back from the graveyard.

Whatever direction the game takes, so long as you are doing fine it will eventually boil down to casting Seasons Past to get:

For 0: A field of ruin to thin the deck.
For 1: A Duress or Fatal Push to spend leftover mana and ensure that we can do this all over again next turn.
For 2: Literally anything. Lifegain? We got you! Removal? Ha, kill anything! Want to duress the opponent? Here!
For 3: LITERALLY ANYTHING!
For 4: Boardclears, unconditional removal, or planeswalker-like legends.
For 5: Dark Petition to do it all over again in the near future.
For 6: Ideally Nissa's Renewal to never die and never draw something that isn't gas.

And no deck in the format can fight this for long.
