Deck Description

This is a modern combo deck that cheats out Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. That's pretty much the only win-con.

How to Play

Use Possibility Storm to cheat out Emrakul. Once Possibility Storm is out there, you can cheat Emrakul out by playing an Ornithopter, or morphing a Zoetic Cavern. This triggers Possibility Storm's effects to reveal cards from your library until you hit Emrakul. If you don't have the Ornithopter or Zoetic Cavern, you can always tutor for them by using Tolaria West's transmute ability.
Alternatively, if Emrakul is in your hand, you can cheat it out with Through the Breach. Of course, if you don't have Through the Breach, you can always discard it to Izzet Charm (it'll just get shuffled back into your library).

Of course, you need to survive until then. That's why there are plenty of counterspells, cantrips, and removal cards. You also have cards to help you search for Possibility Storm (or for whatever answers you need for threats on the board), such as Serum Visions and Sleight of Hand.

Deck discussion for Do The Impossible

Howdy folks! Got any suggestions or tips for me? The concept of this deck is simple, but still a little complicated. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Sounds like a fun deck once possibility storm is out. Lots of craziness once it comes out. Seems kinda hard to protect if you try to cast it and they are playing counterspells. Does that mean you have to hold up extra land to counter their counters? If so, I might run at least 1 pact of negation just in case.
That being said, I might also put your dispels from your sb to the mainboard since your weak spot is counters and dispels are only 1 blue. Also, I know you have lots of cantrips, but I might throw in an extra land. You can take out desperate rituals imo.
Other than that, pretty nice possibility storm combo deck. LOVE cheating out Emrakul! heheh! +1!

Thanks! Yeah, I was thinking about getting rid of Gigadrowse (mostly to tap down their lands so they cannot counter Possibility Storm). Still contemplating the Desperate Rituals though. It can get it out faster, not to mention help pay for Through the Breach if I happen to have it and Emrakul in my hand. Thanks for the tips! I'll do some more thinking...

I forgot to mention. I'd take out the spellskites in the sideboard. you don't want to possibility storm into them. I'd suggest at least 1 pact of negation. maybe another spot removal like combust or dismember.

wow, I like the multiple different avenues you have to win here, its solid. have you run it at all? the control aspect you have is solid, should keep you alive long enough to find an out! +1 from me

Thanks for the compliment =)
Yeah, I've been testing it on cockatrice. It's weak to counter magic, like the other guy said. And yeah, it only means I have to keep even MORE mana open. But so far it's been so fun cheating emrakul out haha!

This was confusing at first, but I think I understand it now. Question though. What happens if possibility storm is out and then they naturalize it to destroy it, or boomerang it back to your hand, or anything to remove it? Those spells are cast, but does the effect of the spells still stay on the stack, underneath the possibility storm trigger? This is a confusing card but I can see how crazy it can get haha. Nice deck otherwise. I like it! =)!

Thanks for looking =)
To answer your question, no. If possibility storm is out on the field, no spell will resolve. If they play something to destroy the enchantment, it will get exiled and never resolve. Of course, if they start revealing cards from the library and happen to hit another "destroy enchantment" spell, that one will resolve because they can cast it for free (if they want - they don't necessary have to if they don't want to).
I'm sure you already know, but possibility storm only works with spells, not abilities, so if seal of primordium is out there, or perhaps karn liberated is on the battlefield already, they can use their abilities to get rid of possibility storm...
