Working on a modern angel deck. will be chaning things in and out as time progresses
Some tricks you can do -avacyn is an option but have found it can catch opponent off gaurd if you dont have the aether out and they dont think you can flash in her to save others.decided to go with 3 aether vials as i dont like drawing one late game running low on steam. Wanted a Highery threat density in creatures.Thought about main decking more Chancellors but drawing them mid game is bad, late is okay, early opening hand is nice to have that trigger along with leyline too. Part of the reason for the 3 aether vials I wanted to have an affect before game started with the Chancellor's triggered ability, weighing that vs turn 1 aether seemed worth the time to investigate how it plays. In my mind, drawing annex or vial is good and both can enhance late or early game. Archangel of tithes is decent for swarm decks so I might take out the wraths for something different in side boardHave been experimenting with adding a splash of blue via hallow fountain for supreme verdicts and other support spells. Still debating on mana colour splash. I dont own resplendent angels and regret not getting them when they were cheap. That being said I think the deck can still work well with the other options.Mutavault trick - Tap to add mana to change themselves into creatures before you cast an angel with giada out. if things go well, that angel will get more counters on it thus making the life gain with the valkyries more substantial. You can also change them into creatures with shalai out to give them hexproof vs land destruction. THe most obivious is that Lyra gives them lifelink and 1+1Angel of sanctions is in here because I can use aether vial with it, and it helps with the life gain and benefits from giada, and lyra while also adding more recursive removal from the graveyard. 5cmc is alot. I may cut 1x for march of otherworld as another removal spell.
