Sorceries (1)

Enchantments (1)

Deck Description

Cause pain to your opponents when they start their turn, when they end their turn, and anywhere in between. This deck is focused on Megrim and Underworld Dreams.

PLEASE NOTE: I do not, and will not, use any cards that were created after Scourge. I only use cards that existed prior to the start of Mirrodin. (I know this is stupid but it's my one and only rule.)

Any suggestions would be great.

How to Play

First turn you want to try and pull out a megrim or an underworld dream with a dark ritual. After that it's just a matter of forcing your opponent to draw and discard, and loading up their hand to knock it back down, dealing tons of damage from both sides. Arcane Laboratory helps to make sure that they keep a full hand to take advantage of other spells and forced discards due to maximum hand size, with Spellbook preventing you from discarding.

Jace's Archivist? Dreamborn Muse might also be a good idea.

Although Dreamborn Muse is quite an amusing card, there are 2 reasons why it doesn't belong here. Firstly, the muse is much better in a mill deck (library destruction) which this is not (although it does have the ability to significantly reduce the size of one's library). Secondly, can you imagine what would happen to my own library during my upkeep if I have spellbook in play? As for Jace's Archivist, please read my note under deck description. Thanks for your thoughts. :)

YOUR WORDS: "I do not, and will not, use any cards that were created after Scourge. I only use cards that existed prior to the start of Mirrodin." Okay, so I'm letting you know that I'm seeing a lot of "M10" cards & "Return to Ravnica" lands here, so you might want to fix that maybe? o.O lol

This site shows pictures from the newest sets, but every single one of those cards existed prior to Mirrodin.

Whenever you add cards from the card search, you can choose the Edition. ;)

Really? I would be seriously interested to know how! :) I just used the bulk importer and hoped for the best. I'm knew to the site.

You'd have to search for each card individually to choose the edition. :P

Go to "Cards" at the top of the screen & search for the card. Once you've found the card, click the "Add to Deck" button on the far right of the card's image. A little window should pop open, showing the card's name, the set, the quantity, & the deck. All you have to do is make the changes there. ;)

I know, I just don't care about land lol. It's all basic, it comes from almost every set. Thanks though.

How about Necropotents.

I thought about necro's too. But I already have the ability to draw cards if needed (howling mine, stroke of genius) and I have no way to gain the life back. I know how powerful it is (hence why it's banned) but I just don't know how well I would be able to survive if someone actually managed to deal damage to me consistently while taking burn damage from it. And in order to stop the bleed and have a draw phase again, I would need something like powder keg or nevinyrral's disk which would destroy all of my enchantments that are actually causing damage. That's why I decided to leave them out. Thanks though. :)
