I really like the idea and card design of the new Nicol Bolas, the Ravager from Core 2019. Even though I usually play burn, aggro, and combo deck archetypes more than control IRL, I decided to build a Grixis control deck based around getting out Nicol Bolas, the Ravager. When I started looking around for inspiration, I realized that rotation is approaching soon, and that I should concentrate on a post-rotation list, as I haven't seen anyone else built yet. Hopefully I can get the money to purchase/trade for the cards, but I will do so only after I know what I want in the deck. Constructive suggestions are greatly appreatiated, and will help me make this deck better.
Typical control archetype strategy with the added win condition of Nicol Bolas, the Ravager. Opt, Dissmissive Pyromancer, and Search for Azcanta allow for easier access to our win condition. If the Nicol Bolas strategy falls short for some reason, utilize the vast amount of instants and sorceries in the deck to strengthen Enigma Drake's power, as he is usually unable to be killed due to its 4 toughness. Hostage Taker, Kitesail Freebooter, Duress, and Divest all help to mitigate the opponent's options in hand and slow them down considerably throughout the game.
