Deck Description

I suppose every Magic player, to some degree, likes Tribal decks. It's just cool to have cards get value off each other. Ishkanah, the first Legendary Spider in Magic, has a few viable options to pair it with. The real question is: can you get a lot of value off of her activated ability? Could you do something like 30 damage in a game using her ability? That was the inspiration for my deck.

How to Play

Yeah, Tribal Spiders seems kind of weak. However, there are a few cards that give it a serious boost. The Metallic Mimic and Adaptive Automaton, or course, will increase the raw power of your Spiders. However, the real all-star is none other than Assault Formation! Turning your 1/4s and 2/7s into 4/4s and 7/7s is serious value! Jarad's Orders and Increasing Ambition can search this up.

For most of the game, you'll probably dump a few cards into your graveyard, play defensive Spiders, and win with Ishkanah and Assault Formation. The deck is also political: it's non-threatening, very defensive, and sports political cards like Hex and Pernicious Deed, and Twilight's Call. A fun, cheap deck (except for Crucible of Worlds and the lands) for those who love Tribal EDH!
