Not bad. Consider overgrown battlement and/or axebane guardian.

Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't attaching an artifact to sage of hours count as targeting him with a spell? After all "attach to target creature only as a sorcery" which is a *spell*....

You could also use Emerge Unscathed on him unless you are counting on being able to exile him.

I am considering another variant which focuses more on abusing oracle vault to put things out.
Also considering an artifact based variant that uses a similar mechanic but puts out nasty artifacts instead of creatures.

Not bad at all. This deck is extremely powerful IF you can get the dragon's off. And that's one of the unknown's.

Couple of things. Tooth and nail might help some but of course this being EDH you only get one.

I can think of a pretty decent alternate mechanic to this as well, but it would require a clean sheet deck design. Make a deck that produces a shitload of tokens then use cards like loam dryad and cryptolith rite to tap tokens for multicolor mana. Then have your dragons and other things, that might move faster. I am still just getting into EDH as a format so learning what the best calls are for setting up combos when you only get one of something is still new to me.

Lol. Hopefully my actual submission is as likable. I appreciate you taking the time I am really liking this challenge. Actual submission will need another nights work to get done and probably some playtests. For now bed.

Correct me if I am wrong but if you were going for infinite mana wrt the druid it doesn't work. This is because you have to pay 1 into the quillspike to remove the counter and untap it right?
Or am I missing it?

Here is a NOT SERIOUS submission please don't count this. Still working on the actual one going to take more time than I have at the moment.

The brick counter thing is very interesting though for another reason. You could actually build a highly bastardized eldrazi titan getter outter thing around this combo. Now wouldn't that be funny.

I have published some new decks. Not all that polished but I am starting to get better ideas for more complex things.
I feel I have almost played out the various infinite this or that things I wanted to try making so I will may start looking at Modern more.

I will be working on testing this out. Consider it a prototype or a starting point for now for something potentially much better.

Very open to suggestions for better variations to this. Core mechanic I'd be interested in keeping would be (midnight guard+gond=token) + (loam dryad+fling+five color things of great power).

If there are any good guards that let you for example pay x as a static ability (preferably permanent cards) and put in x amount of tokens let me know. I feel there are more efficient ways of doing this that might involve one card (myr matrix was an example) instead of the two that gond and midnight guard represent.

Okay badass. I will hit you up over there. Heads up your deck's around that gilder barn combo inspired me, I am going to try and produce something pretty nasty with it. Already building it.
Very very very nice combo.
Speaking of which, you should look into umbral mantle. Oh so many unfair possibilities with that card I have used it more than once in tribal elf decks to mess up some games.

I freaking love this. I have a few deck designs that make use of pili pala but none that do it quite as efficiently as this. Very very happy to see blue sun zenith and cryptolith rite getting some use in a deck this solid.

And it's modern legal. Definetly liking this

I am considering dropping coat of arms and umbral mantle.
Would probably replace umbral mantle with the enlightened tutor or the commune with the gods.
Coat of arms would be replaced by ezuri or spawnsire.

I am going to be publishing a couple variations of this deck soon that do vastly different things but utilize that token generation combo as a core mechanic. Had some pretty wacky ideas. Can't wait to debut them.

Commune with the gods added to the sideboard removed jagged scar archers. Removed worldspine wurm, not really necessary for this deck and he is in other decks.

Very good points I will look at it. I haven't tested this deck yet with the sword cards in it, I have tested it with the original design which was lightning greaves stoneforge ect and it was extremely nasty.

Published a couple more decks. Haven't had much time to test decks and won't for the near future. Was affected by hurricane harvey I will be dealing with cleanup for the near term.

Added city of solitude and enlightened tutor to the sideboard.

Of the two it would probably be the tutor that goes in the deck.
