This is my attempt to make the super awesome Truefire Captain + Star of Instinction combo happend. The combo: Truefire Captain gets 20 damage from our Star of Instinction and then shoots our opponent for 20 dmg and we win the game.Please share any thoughts, tips, remarks or whatever you have time for. Everything is appriciated.
The general idea is to stall the game to make the combo happend.We do this by removing the opponents threats with lot of removal while playing great blockers in Knight of Grace, Rekindling Phoenix and History of Benalia.Then later in the game when we have both the captain and the star in hand we play the captain and the star the turn after and win the game.Shalai is for protecting the captain with hexproof.There is alot of times where this will be avoided by the opponent, either by destroying the captain or countering the star. We play 4 captains so it should be possible to play a second one for another go at the combo, and against counter magic opponents we just press on with our creatures insted of pushing for the combo.Some games will be won by just attacking with our creatures.The angels in the SB is to take in when you take redundant removal out cause of the lack of targets in the opponents deck.
