Deck discussion for Humans taking the win!V2

Thank you for not smashing a bunch of singletons together and calling it a deck. But other than that, its a pretty cool deck.

You Should add Avacyn's Pilgrim or Scorned Villager to speed up the deck and reduce the mana costs (yes I know that you have Descendant's Path to play the creatures for free but you could play it on 2nd turn if you had a pilgrim on your opeing hand ;) Also you could use Uvenwald Tracker as a way to deal with creatures.
Please review my deck and let me know what do you think: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=344170

Couple of things that come to mind for me here: Hero of Bladehold would be a fairly decent choice for this deck as it buffs during attacks and gives you more creatures, and considering the amount of wide-spread buffs you have going on, Increasing Devotion or a similar card would work fairly well.

i think a tech deck of increasing savagry wouldn't be bad, particularly with champion's ability to stop blockers that are weaker than it, basically you'd say, "oh, you mean you DON'T have a 20/20 to block all of my creatures? well, that's really too bad, good game"

this is a really good deck it has to be my favorite

As a last resort I would suggest increasing devotion for the champ of parish. Its a great blocker and will only pump champ of parish to a ridiculous amount. Its not like you have too many 4+ spells so one or two big cards could really just overflow your opponent. Though... that one card is contradicting it so... it might only become a real pain when trying to cast it.

to go off this idea, in addition to my above statement, tech decking one of each "increasing" spell in replacement of one abolisher and one thalia, just because either one of them will massively boost your champion's power and usefulness and make it stupidly bigger than most things that can be played right now

Very impressive. Low cost. Good synergy. I'd love to play it/against it.

Increasing Devotion or Increasing Savagery would help you get the most out of that scary Champ of Lambholt, as would Cathar's Crusade or Goldnight Commander. This is adding up to be a very expensive deck given the number of high-cost cards like the Champion and the Cavern. You're not likely to get your mana's worth out of Dispense Justice, it might be worth trying Path to Exile or Rebuke instead.

my suggestion-if you are interested, is to make this naya, it might not be as fast as this gw, but it wont run out of gas too quick. I know how this deck runs since i constant play against my friend which have the EXACT same build as this and he only won once:\ and from what i noticed, a well placed slagstorm( or what we call it, fagstorm) kills this deck and a human frailty cleans up the buff champion.

what i can suggest to this build is put in the protection 1cmc spell(forgot the name) cut lambholt to 2 since its on the same cost as the crusader and the same goes for silverblade, and doomed traveler, i personally dislike that card and think a pilgrim is better in its place but thats just personal preference.

and is there any recursion?? cuz once you get doj, your deck is basically gone

so these are just some personal input and you can ask me for help any time u want :]

I'm inspired. New to playing, but this has to be one of the most well constructed decks (including the sideboard choices) I've seen. You should track it's record in RL. Crap, now I need to go spend more $ ;)

but seriously, great deck, but W/G felt a little slow, will much prefer mono-white :)

thought of adding angelic destiny?

i see that you added angelic destiny, thanks for considering it but you forgot to remove 4 more cards to replace it, might need to correct that... hmmm i think you can remove 4 doomed traveler since you already have gather the townsfolk, it will be enough to serve its purpose of pumping your champ parish :)

Very solid. Biggest thing I could suggest is to drop one Thalia for a Forest. With Thalia being legendary, you really only need 2 of her in the deck, to avoid coming across her later as a dead draw.

Increasing Devotion works great with Champion of the Parish , 5 1/1 humans, 5 counters , for 5 mana , flash back 7, for 10 more humans and counters.

Thraben Doomsayer is a great addition for Champion of the Parish aswell, tap him to put a 1/1 human token in play, with Cloudshift, you could get 2 humans / counters on Champion for 1 mana, Grand Abolisher would be nice to slip in too, canceling out opponents chance to counter or burn your humans during your turn.

I took a similar decklist to FNM last friday and came in second.

Champion of Lambholt is the true star here. If your opponent does not have an answer for it it will easily get you the win by outracing him. Boardsweepers can be a real pain in the a, so I brought in Nevermore to keep them from being played.

I haven't tested with Wolfir Silverheart which also seems pretty solid in this type of deck.

I second Champion of the Lambholt. I'm not sure what you'd take out to put her in though. The deck already looks pretty solid.

Are you just going for standard? Ranger of Eos is good for champ of parish and champ of lambholt is a must

0

I like it but... Have you considered adding more green humans or w/g mulitcolor human knights?
Juniper Order Ranger can give your creatures a nifty boost, Borderlands Ranger could help you with mana building if you cut down the plains to add some forrests and green Humans or more Werewolves, also an enchantment called "Bonds of Faith' could help you out by boosting your Humans, or harming any non-Humans your opponent has.

I can see fieldhunter and parish working together, but what else is there for fieldhunter? I like the idea of this deck, though I've never been a fan of protection from "whatever" cards like Mirran.

Fiend Hunter acts as another oblivion ring, but he is also a creature. It basically adds more of a chance for an oblivion ring.

I like your take on the G/W humans build. I have been running one that has been running over or giveing every 1 deck a run for their money. in the past 3 weeks went 24-0-5 in tournaments.

I am playing around with various R/G aggro builds naya pod decks but this deck seems to be more stable aganst a variety of matchups.

Im an IRL friend of whatcountrywhat, and after a lot of thought he decided to take out champion of lambholt because, while it seems good, it actually is very slow. turn three to play, turn four before it can do anything. Thats just too long, he should be close to winning by then. And since the replacement for lambholt was mirran crusader, his deck is all the better for it

I like it. It just seems like there's not enough in there for boosting up the Champion. Like someone said before, I'd add Thraben DoomSayer, Some quick outs, Captain of the Watch.

Take a look at my mono white humans. You might get some good ideas

Also, if you find it necessary to run green, I'd definitely recommend adding some blink, captain of the watch, and parallel lives. Parallel lives is a must for token decks

I've got a couple in my B/G Zombie Token deck here

very nice, the only thing i can think of is increasing devotion but already its a solid deck and doesnt need much changed to it, i just thought of it but in case u ever get into mana trouble maybe a somberwild sage would help giving u 3 mana of any color to play with the only bad part is that it has to be a creature spell but u have plenty of them so it would work lol

Nice deck! Maybe you could add captured sunlight:) you get 4 life and you get a creature card into the battle field with converted mana 3or less without paying its mana cost :)

And on the other hand, can you help me out with my deck?
