What a run. After I altered the moggwarts half of the deck, evolution has been trying to make sense of the whole thing, and has chosen to return to a more original style, returning flamewave invoker as the killcard and has refused to build around fractal summoning which I really wanted it to solve. It also came up with an ingenious solution to the problem that the deckhalf has been having with being defensive, and this solution supports the first strike concept of the other deckhalf. Using goblin matron to fetch "goblin tools" like tarfire.Battlegate mimic might not be seen as the most powerfull card in the deck, but against creatureless decks it actually manages to pack quite the punch as you can fetch boros recruit with goblin matron, or spirit summoning through first day of class. This happens more than you would think, and I think that future developement of the deck could see an increase in both boros recruit as well as battlegate mimic.Conjurer's bauble has created a way to put goblin cards back into the deck, and goblin matron can then be used to fetch them again, usually by bringing back goblin matron with unearth. The deck is best played by being aggressive, first using goblin matron to fetch putrid goblin. If a player is scared of the combo, they waste time and energy on trying to dismantling it, while the deck is just being aggressive. If they for some reason stop trying to ruin the combo, it's suddenly a win.You wouldn't think it, but in a lot of games this deck manages to get more than 8 lands into play, which means a flamewave invoker is suddenly pretty badass. This makes me think that in future evolving I will try to add more of those. This happens frequently enough that I'm really starting to wonder why moggwarts only features one of these, especially since it's THE combo piece. Having infinite mana gets you nowhere if you can't spend it.RESULTS WERE A BIT PREMATURE:on my schedule I had 13 more decks to go through, but because of rearrangements in the basement to make room for a lego stop motion movie set, it seems like the last 13 decks have been misplaced. I might want to complete the run, but I have a lot of stuff going on so I might delay this or even skip it. It's annoying, but sometimes you just gotta carry on with what you've got to keep the momentum.I'm frankly not in the mood to go through all the stuff that has been taken up from the basement and stored in a small room indefinitely. I can live with a test panel of only 51 decks for a while.I'm preparing for the next halfdeck couple to be evolved, which is "counterlings" and "regenerate". I'll make a small search for the 13 decks before I move on.
This guy, (me, wickeddarkman) is singlehandedly ruining the fun for the trolls, thieves, extortionists, deckspammers and sexual abusers who frequent mtgvault.Sure, I scare some new faces away, and bother the trolls whenever they create a new account, but at least the new people aren't walking into a giant trap without a warning, and as usual, it's my oppinion that this warning should be given mandatory by all internet sites, not just mtgvault.I no longer enforce a tag system, because it can be an advantage seeing who actually puts up a serious effort into things compared to some others... I've come far since my early warnings.Gary can we just please make me a mod, so I can rid this place of assholes, and so I can atone for giving another site a harsh time when I was younger and less knowledgeable. It's obvious that the bad guys in here view me as a troll, because I'm revealing their presence, but I am using this site as it is otherwise intended, and even (gasp) bring detailed descriptions in most of my decks, even when they aren't the best builds. I'd say I'm pretty self aware about this.Sure, I can be compared to hitler, and gladly stand by by my words that if I had the power, I'll exterminate everyone of the evil doers in here to purify earth and build a utopia.Should the trolls manage to win despite my good efforts, I'll have to become better at this "game" and will seek out professional troll hunters so I can improve myself and strike back against crime on the net. Good people does stuff like that.Doxxing trolls is exactly what other good people have been doing, and since this is mostly done in Sweden, I'll simply have to cross a single bridge to start learning how to fight the good fight.https://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/paranoia-zone-frontpage/
