Deck Description

Turn 1 frequently is so far 50% of the time.

This is a recurring project in my world, it's been some years since last time, but here it is again. This time evolution built it within some hours, and I'm still running it for some days. The good thing about evolving combo is that it happens in a Void, so you have minimal playtime which speeds things up.

Your aim is to cast 2 glimpse spells which will lead to an auto win.

If the opening hand doesn't have a cast able glimpse or beck, take a mulligan.

When you are out of mulligans you autolose, but this happens really rare.

You rarely need a land to do anything, so when you search, search for dryad arbor as it will trigger a draw when being played.

On the rare occasion where you need to cast glimpse/beck via dryad arbor you just wait a turn and cross your fingers hoping they can't set up discard/counter.

Right now the main challenge is to find out exactly how many creatures can be cut to make the deck even more stable.

Shared discovery is being experimented with.

Yeah, it's an old project that I love.
Later I will even try to fit in frogmite and myr enforcer.

Had no idea Glimpse existed. I've built around Beck before but another option (better option in most senses) opens the floodgates. Thanks for posting!

Glimpse is banned in several formats but legal in legacy, so enjoy ;)

Lol. I build kitchen table jank anyways. So it works.

Then you are in for a fun ride

There's also a blue card that allows you to tap a couple of creatures and draw about 3 cards. It costs 1 blue.

Land grant seems a natural fit here. Ups the spell count, will 99.9% be played for free, pulls a land and fixes mana problems. Assuming this is Legacy gitaxian probe is out, otherwise that would be a natural fit as well.

It could replace a fetchland, but I managed to cut down on even more land. (Adding an extra dryad)
The key is to cast glimpse/beck, and with elvish spirit guide and lotus petal the most of the mana is covered.
Land grant might actually end up being a hindrance, but I will test it to see the effects ;)

whats the turn 1 win?

Simple, once you've casted 1 glimpse or beck, you get to cast a second. From that point you draw your entire deck and simply win by casting grapeshot because you will have cast about 30 spells.

Love the deck idea!! How do you get to cast the second glimpse or beck once you cast the first one?

You draw more lotus petals

I usually use elvish spirit guide and reserve lotus petal to be able to cast shrieking drake. But sometimes you have to use a petal.

One hidden pattern within the deck is that it needs a minimum of 32 0-cost creatures with absolutely no weakness in its casting (like being a burn-tree shaman) if the deck has less than that it loses coherence.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Dryad Arbor doesn't trigger Glimpse of Nature since it's not a spell and is never cast/played. It does trigger beck // call, but Glimpse is only triggered if the creature is cast as a spell.
Shrieking Drake and Shared discovery are sweet, but may I introduce you to Scapegoat?
I would drop Shrieking Drake and 1 wild cantor for 3 scapegoat.
You do need a critical mass of creatures, but I would drop the second Wild Cantor and 1 copy of either endless one or hangarback for 2 gamble. As you said, you need glimpse of nature, and tutors/redundant pieces is the best way to make it more consistent.

Scapegoat is the go to way to reset the combo in most Cheeri0 variants, also, it's an excuse to play scapegoat.

I remember having some doubts about the dryads triggering. I think I just went on and tried to see what they would do if they worked, and forgot about it.

Scapegoat is a really interesting idea, and I'll try out gamble as well.
