Need help building a deck for an upcoming standard tournament. Any helpful advice would be appreciated, thanks.

How to Play

Goblin Electromancer is the best card u could get to improve your main focus! I'm planning to build a blue/red deck soon but it's not rdy yet, feel free to watch my decks for ideas. If you need some more don't hesitate to contact me! xD

If you are using flashback I recommend taking out ash zealot (Don't wanna deal damage to yourself for casting spells). Essence scatter to counter creature spells and also do damage. Pyroconvergence deals damage when you cast a multi-colored sorcery or instant. Hope this helps. :)

I agree with yahtzeenazi, but if you have flashback in your deck, burning vengeance from innistrad is a great addition http://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=243211

Izzet staticaster is always good against little guys or tokens other then that I would agree with the others rewind is the last counter you want essence scatter dissipate and negate are much better I would even go with cancel over rewind unless its a heavy control deck. Check out my tournament deck can think of the name of it right now but it should help you a lot.
