Be aggressive. If you don't win fast try to finish off with Varolz's abilities. Slumbering Dragon is NOT meant to be played. He is meant as purely a discard or sacrifice creature that becomes a permanent giant growth when Varolz is in play.

I like your version too but I want to see if it is plausible to make it akin to the red deck wins style of play. Hence my highest CMC is 3. I kind of forgot about rancor though. I will try to test it out.
Still a good deck and good idea.
