Agreed, most any deck running Black Mana could use Dark Rituals in the deck. Seething Song, maybe, could work too.
And Swiftfoot Boots...ugh. Maybe Skullclamp. Would take out Tragic Slip (or Swiftfoot Boots) for the Skullclamp. It does the same thing as Tragic Slip for one more colorless mana, but lets you draw 2 cards. Speed, speed, speed!! And, isn't Vampire Nighthawk an awesome card!!! I mean, they ran out of room to add text on the card!! Built in flying, lifelink, and deathtouch all on one creature!!! Nice!
Well... skullclamp doesnt do the same thing as tragic slip at all xD. And tragic slips are nessecary for the deck :)
I like the new curve and the higher speed. I would however lose the scorpion for hellhole flailer. Same cost but a lot bigger and uglier.

I do plqn on swapping out two of each basic lands for 4 blood crypts
I would take out spike jester for rakdos cackler, a solid first turn aggro monster whos a threat for a good while (:Mind checking out my deck?? Heheh, I took out my Cacklers for Vexing Devils, it seemed to work better with the whole mana curve and spike jester can block.
