Deck Description

I've always wanted to make an axe deck, because axes are awesome, but it seems that MTG has something against axes. None of them are really "good." But Obsidian Battle-axe is pretty cool, and Murderer's and Thirsting axe have their uses, too... I guess. Anyways, I figured, hey, how can I make a deck that involves the most amount if axe possible, while still being not terrible. This is the best I can do (though I'll make another axe deck (an illegal one) around Bloodforged Battleaxe, sometime).
It's basically about Bloadsoaked Champion coming into play, sticking to all the available axes, attacking, then being sacrificed by Blood-Chin Fanatic. I understand that there are better ways to make use of Fanatic, but they don't involve as many axes. There's also better ways to use Obsidian Battle-axe, but, meh, I like this idea.
I'd like recommendations on how to change this deck for the better, while keeping the idea of axes, and repeatedly getting Champions or Skeletons back to the battlefield to re-equip. I know that Murderer's and Thirsting Axe don't quite fit (they kinda do) but it'd be hard to call it an axe deck with only one type of axe. Keep in mind that it's extremely casual (I wouldn't make a deck based off of a random theme, and expect it to do well in any kind of competitive play).

How to Play

Play some small creatures, and some axes. Be reckless with the creatures, hope they die, and then bring them back. Maybe draw some cards in the progress, or kill some of your opponents creatures.
Rager for evasion
Thirsting axe, Fanatic, several sorceries to sac creatures, then draw with Dark Prophecy. (Maybe I should add more cards that trigger from death?)
Discard Champion or Skeletons for Murderer's Axe
In dire situations, sacrifice Thirsting Axe with Costly Plunder to avoid an unwanted sac
Cycle Viscera Dragger, Unearth it later, and sac before the end of the turn

Deck discussion for Bloodsoaked Axes

So the deck idea is cool, but why not bonesplitter? The best axe ever printed in mtg history. If seems so much better than thirsting axe? Also bloodforged battle axe is great as a one of?

id go 2 bone splitter and 1 bloodforged battle axe over the thirsting axe.

also seeing as so many of your dues are warriors. Id put in brutal horde urde chief, Dw about his ability, the rest of the card is easily enough vaule and he is very cheap to buy. Id swap I'm out for vampireic rites as I feel you have enough card draw and advantage for an aggressive deck.

Hmm... I'm really not sure what my reasoning was on having thirsting axe over the others. It's especially weird, as I remember wanting to make an axe deck after first seeing bloodforged axe. Will add those right away. I'll also try adding the hordechief. Thanks

Edit: I think the reason for not adding bloodforged axe is that it's not legal in modern

I think Bonesplitter is more a halberd than an axe, just a minor detail. Darksteel Axe could also be an idea.

Really like the idea! Maybe add lightning axe? Some axe spells would be cool.
