Kraken hatchling? Nivmagus is a pretty cool one. It's good in mono blue/mono red or U/R . I forgot about serra ascendant.

Then you could add mana drain again.

You'll have to take time walk down to 1 if you want this deck to be legal. Otherwise it's a really expensive deck to play friends only.

I agree that student of warfare is a BAMF of a one drop but I can think of a few I like more. ( goblin lackey, champion of the parish, deathrite shaman, mother of runes and goblin guide) It is by far the best one drop knight though.

True but if that's the case, it would be side board at best for this deck.

Ohhh yeah! And! Can't believe I didn't notice this first. Oblivion ring is way out of place in this deck. I think with go for the throat and bone splinters you have enough removal plus exiling doesn't cause a creature to "die". So it's kind of going against the engine of this deck. The good news? Now you know what to take out for sanguine bond.

Also with how easy it is to remove planeswalkers these days, I think bloodline keeper and thraben doomsayer are a better fit for this deck. Thraben can produce a lot quicker than Elspath can and Bloodline Keeper gives you a 2/2 vamp every turn instead of a 1/1.

More importantly, why wouldn't you just put sanguine bond and exquisite blood in here? Seems to me it would work A LOT quicker.

I like nivmagus elemental more than blistercoil weird. Also I wouldn't main board 4 detonate. Melek, Izzet Paragon could be cool in this deck his mana cost is kind of high though.

With the new standard game you'd be crazy not to throw polis crusher in every R/G deck. Protection from enchantments! That means all these enchantment creatures can't block him and he gives pacifism and the new oblivion ring a big middle finger... .. The best part? He can't be dealt damage by enchantments. Go ahead make your god a creature, he'll be blocked by polis crusher every time.

I like shock/scry land for standard/extended or modern but vintage, I'll almost always take fetch lands over the other two. There are situations they can be more beneficial though.

Also there's lots of cards that make players discard their hand then draw that many cards. Could be a win con.

If you splash red though I'd only drop 9 swamps. 5 mountains, 4 bloodstained mire. Screw shock land and scry land.

If you splash red for Adamaro that opens up a slot for my favorite red removal. Mizzium Mortars.

Love how streamlined this deck is though. Not many card options, keeps the deck on target.

Adamaro, First to Desire. 1RR
His power and toughness are equal to the number of cards in opponents hand. You shouldn't have a problem keeping him at 7/7 for 3cmc. At worst he's a good sideboard option if you need more damage.

It's because of mana drain. Pretty sure it's only legal in vintage
