No I have had this deck for a long time and is quite possibly my favorite deck to play. the only cards it needs that i dont have due to cost are bonfire of the damned replacing pyroclasim, Temporal Mastery replacing eyes of the watcher and flame burst replacing rift bolt. if you are able build it, soooo much fun :)

With all that mana you should put in helix pinnacle. That should give you a good alternate win condition.
Not sure if Black Sun's Zenith is the best idea, the counters you gain on your vamps from player damage will be gone as soon as it put -1-1 counters on them as BSZ says all creatures.
Its not as bad in mono creature decks i run the extra cards for a number of reasons, in most decks the lees cards you have the more likely you will draw what you need, in a mono creature all I need are Elves and with a few extra cards it helps stop the mill/fogging decks I have seen a lot of in my area lately.
use luminesent rain for a insance amount of life gain, check out my elf decks :)

As good as Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle is, it only normaly appeaars in mono red decks. In this case you do not have enough mountins in the deck to justify it, it will only slow down the deck.
since your deck is mainly blue drop vex and add counterspell, this way you are not provding your oponent with card advantage, you may want to do a little reserch to find a few more cost effective alternet spells. since counter/burn decks are naturaly counter productive because time constraints(burn fast/hyper agresive and counter slow/defencive)you need to not have the blue portion slow the red down, ie cheeper spells to speed it up and make better use of mana. please take a look at my decks and coment thanks :)
i have an elf token gen deck, use mercy killing. you sack ur jagged-scar archers and can easly put in a bunch more elves and with coat of arms its a great combo. please check out my decks
you seem to be using alot of high cost elves, and with no mana accel, this deck may be running slow. I would lose the ambush commander, reason being as nice as it is to get the massive number of elves in play it makes all your land suseptable to a board wipe! droping him turn five and then bam pyroclasum or earthquake. since this deck is mana dependent use the elvish archdruid one of the best elves ever printed. masive mana bost and will help to put elves out of range of burn. other notable cards may be wirewood lodge for wellwishers and immaculate. also for a quick bost to life luminesant rain that card has some time given me 20+ life. please check out my elf decks!! thanks
seige gang comander and goblin granade are both must haves in this type of deck, and since you are running burn spells you will want lightning bolts. Please check out my decks
always wanted a treefolk deck but never had the money to make it, i would definatly put in the bosk banneret its low cost provides you with a decent defender and the abilty to reduce the cost of your treefolk becomes very usful right away. please check out my decks :)

my friend, recently built one of these decks and it can be real brutal, the stapel of his deck is the carrion feeder any time one of his creatures would be put into a graveyard he sac's it in responce makeing for a real mean block/buff combo. The second is the thunder-thrath elder with Dev 3. and last he found that there were cases he couldnt power over nor wenie rush me so he through in the artifact Mage Slayer, this card has one him more duels then any other card in his deck. any one of these would be a great help in your deck :) Please check out my decks!!!
Argothian Elder + 2 Wirewood Lodge + Immaculate Magistrate + Devoted Druid = unlimited mana 1.Immaculate Magistrate and Devoted Druid make you the mana. 2.Use Wirewood Lodge to untap Immaculate, and use other Lodge to do it again, 3. use Argothian Elder to untap the two Lodges use one to untap Elder and the other lodge to untap the Magistrate, 4.tap Magistrate to start your mana combo again, 5.tap Elder to untap Lodges. Wash, rince and repeat. what do you think, its a small adition for a crazy outcome
I love the idea of Devoted Druid combined with Immaculate Magistrate and even though Timberwatch Elf dosn't work as well it would still be an amazing boost to mana, and with the Wirewood Lodge, dang! If you could find a way to ither re-play Wirewood or untap it i see the begining to an endless mana combo! best of luck Please check out my 2 elf decks thanks.
This deck is simply what i have on me to build with if you have a sugestion make it without being rude. I will look into mind funeral archive trap and haunting echos.
I would recomend using Disrupt insted of one of your other spells as is replaces itself weather the counter goes through or not.
