Since you are playing black I would really like to include some draw or recursion for card advantage. Quite possibly Altar's Reap and/or Death Denied.

I'd cut the Aberration for Visionaries for card draw.
Invigorate is banned in pauper though. You want to replace it with Vines of Vastwood since it can protect your creatures from ping and bolts.
Very interesting deck! I'd consider some of the revolt elves from Kaladesh, Narnam Renegade especially as a one drop. It could cut the curve a bit and make it all play faster.
That's just common sense. Orzhov is incredibly boring.

I was considering them instead of Beastmaster Ascension (which I personally just loathe). But I happen to have a boatload of Ascensions and only one Parallel Lives (for EDH). It would be awesome though.
You might be right. I'll have to test them out.
I'm not sure if I should include it or not. I know it's pretty great. But on the other hand I really don't know what to cut for it.
