Huh. I could have sworn that it was modern legal. Well, back to the drawing board I suppose. Although you're right, it's only a matter of switching out a few cards. Anyway, thanks for the heads-up, I'll update it as soon as I get a chance!

I hadn't actually considered that. I'll probably change that out when I get a chance. It would also serve better because then I could return Halimar Depths back to my hand and get to essentially "scry" again. Thanks for the tip!

I put in Coral Atoll because it'll set you back a turn, but from then on you're able to tap it each turn for two, plus you know for certain that you'll also have mana to play next turn. Getting a Coral Atoll early game has helped me win a ton of close-call games that would have come down to not having the mana needed to secure victory otherwise. It's certainly not a requirement for the deck to function well, but it's helped me out enough to where I'm always glad to draw it.

I was actually running Energy Chamber for quite some time in this deck, but the reason I eventually decided to take it out was because in a lot of games I ended up in a situation where I would be holding onto an Energy Chamber either in my hand or on the field, waiting to draw a Banshee's Blade for nearly half the game, and by the time I did get them both out, the game was practically over. In the cases where I got both of them out early, the game was a surefire win. But unfortunately those situations ended up becoming pretty rare. I considered sideboarding it anyway, but play testing the deck with an energy chamber in it just didn't have the pure synergy that I hoped to achieve. But again, this is just my version of this deck and how I like to play it. Feel free to customize it to your playstyle and personalize it to your taste.

Not to mention, if you're in a really tight situation, you're able to equip him with a Loxodon Warhammer or a Basilisk Collar to give him some lifelink you can use as well as destroy some creatures he's blocking.

I threw Guard Gomazoa in there moreso out of personal preference, due to the fact that a lot of my friends and the people I usually play with have a lot of flying creatures and tend to buff a single creature for massive damage or give them hexproof, so it gives me that slight advantage in stalling enough to outplay them eventually. Again, he may not be necessary and may be a little out of place, but it's helped me out enough against certain decks that I felt it'd be decent to include him in the sideboard.
