46 Decks, 48 Comments, 10 Reputation

Just letting you know that this deck has been updated since, and actually, I have a friend who is very in to Vampire decks, and his is one of the best I've seen. This deck went 1v1 with his and came out on top about 50% of the time.

Theros just released, remove one of those nonbasic lands and smack a Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx in.

Shirei is in the commander zone, you don't need to worry about drawing it.

I really would suggest three more cards for this deck.
Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker (will return all of your Apostles to the field while he is in play)
Rotlung Reanimator (works the same as Xathrid, except for Clerics [so 2x the zombie tokens with both in play])
And lastly, the nastiest thing you could put in this deck:

Extractor Demon (Whenever another creature leaves play, you may have target player put the top two cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard)

So basically, if you have Shirei, 6 Apostles, and Extractor Demon on the field, not only do you get a free demon, you also make an opponent mill 12.

Fun, fun. ^.^

I own the deck I have on here, and it's estimated to cost ~$110.
I only suggested removing the other cards because they were unnecessary to have multiples of at their cost:efficiency, but it's ultimately up to you to buy what you want in YOUR deck.

If you add in an Ambush Commander or two, it'll buff up your coat of arms and make all of your forests elves. It will also buff up your Craterhoof when it enters the battlefield. They're two great options for any elf deck. Also, to shave off a few bucks you could consider dropping a CoA, a Nissa, a Magi, and a Champion or two and adding in other elves/forests, as the power is there even without them. Lastly, you should really consider a Collective Voyage or two, as they can pair with your Archdruids to put out a massive amount of land at once.

Take a glance at my elf deck if you get the chance. :)

And how I'm throwing a hissy fit is beyond me, I simply asked how he got off blowing up on me when I simply made an observation that the only problem with the deck is the cost of it. I'm not dumb, I know cards cost money, and never once did I say the deck was bad OR terrible. I'm not in the wrong here. I'd gander about 90% of the people on this website can't afford this kind of deck, and even more don't take MTG in as an extreme hobby.

Because maturity is finding a random person and blowing up on them? OK buddy.

You're right, it's a HOBBY. Not an extreme hobby. I pay a mortgage. I pay bills. Car notes. I pay for 2 children and their schooling. I have a group of like 20 friends who I went to college with who randomly get together and play some MTG. I don't play legacy because I have other priorities besides dropping $1,800 on card stock when I have other responsibilities to pay for. How does that justify you flipping shit and telling me to get a new hobby? And by the way, this is more than a possible 3-4 turn enabler.. Just by a quick glance it's a possible 1 turn if you drew the right cards.. Don't accuse me of not knowing what I'm talking about.

$1,780.
I always laugh at decks that are $500+ because they are unrealistic to buy.

I understand. All it takes is a Coat of Arms and an Ambush Commander for a game over.

Well, in honesty it buffs up Coat of Arms and allows Magistrate to put just that many more +1/+1 tokens onto another creature, and with Boundless Realms/Collective Voyage it literally takes no time to get out all of your Forests and have them running around as 40/40s, and then when you slam Eladamri out they all have shroud and forestwalk. I considered taking out a few lands and replacing them but it's already on that level that there's no need to.

I know, in the "How to Play" I put, "That or leave Eladamri out of the picture and, mana ramp -> Ambush Commander -> Magistrate for shitloads of +1/+1's." ( AND I put it there before you posted that ;) )

Edit: Also, there's been times when I've used my Magi a few times and then played Eladamri to seal the deal.

If you're going to just repost a deck for likes/comments at least copy it correctly.. Where are your Reliquary Towers?....
