Deck list seems off to a good start.
Here's my suggestions:

-2 Staff of the Sun Magus
Instead:
+2 Solemn Offering
Reason:
Same Mana cost - but this gives you a big bump in life + removing a threat to your board state.

-2 Banisher Priest
Instead:
+2 Bile Blight
Reason:
The latter is far better at nuking creatures, and works in mass quantity under the right conditions.

-2 Seraph of the Sword
Instead:
+1 Precinct Captain
+1 Heroes Downfall
Reason:
More Early Threats & Responses to opposing threats is never a bad thing.

-2 Indestructibility
-2 Soul Mender
Instead:
+2 Nyx-Fleece Ram
+2 Underworld Connections
Reason:
More consistent life gain mechanics to pump thune
More reliable draw engine that can be used once a turn if you arent getting what you need.

-1 Sign in Blood
-1 Read the Bones
Instead:
+1 Banishing Light
+1 Mass Calcify
Reason:
More removal will compliment any mid range deck.

-1 Whip of Erebos
-1 Swamp
-1 Plains
Instead:
+4 Scoured Barrens

This will help you with "mana fixing" and the life gain is mediocre, but it makes it easier to have the double symbols needed to cast your spells.

HI Ceefu,

I have playtested with Firedancer & Deflecting Palm via proxies and I agree it's quite fun!
However, I just couldnt find a spot for it with how I built the deck.
Maybe sometime down the road as the meta begins to take shape...

There are plenty of people out there who can explain this far better than I can, but I'll give it a go. :)

Here is why Fetch lands matter:

- They can be used ANYTIME after they are played. Even during an opponents turn.
- Upon activation, the controller gets to shuffle their deck afterwards. This can help improve chances of better top decking.
- Fetch lands can also contribute very early towards reducing the costs of Delve cards.
- By using the Fetch land to pull out a basic land type card, you are reducing the overall # of cards in your deck, consequently reducing the likelihood one is to get mana flooded per se, instead drawing into game winning spells they need.
I saw the math on some threads in the past, and if memory serves (someone correct me if im wrong in the comments below...) it's around 3-7% improved chances to draw into what you need, it doesnt seem like much but it can make all the difference in a game where luck is a big part of it.

Fetch Lands + Courser of Kruphix is going to be absolutely insane in Standard.
Its one of the big reasons that they keep going up in price, and with 3 color wedges shaping up to be relevant / imperative... combined they are a huge help in mana fixing early game so they can capitalize on opponents bad draws & mulligans.

Hope that helps!

Thought about it, but Purphoros is the superior choice here imo.

Meant to say Mind Rot instead of Duress (corrected) but T1-T2 you have no answers to those main deck that I can see. Giving them a chance to remove the counterspells from your hand, so my question still stands... :p

Why isnt swan song main deck? ;.;

I'm curious how this would stand up to a deck with black hand disruption in it. (Thoughtseize / Mind Rot / Disperse).

Here's my critique:

- Alot of Tempo disruption, but very few permanent solutions to opponent's threats. Are you hoping to kick them back to their hand prior to EOT and hope they have to discard as a solution? Seems unreliable.
- Only 7 counters in a mono blue deck that seems to be themed for disruption... No swan songs or annuls in an enchantment heavy format, I cant help but wonder why.
- Why is polymorphis Jest in the SB? You dont have a followup card other than maybe curse of the Swine to deal with Hexproof / Indestructible's.
- Black has alot of hand disruption with Thoughtseize, Disperse, Mindrot & Lilianna of the Veil, what's your answer to that? (Going back to my point about counters...)
- It will probably play okay in a casual setting, but for competitive - I dont see this deck winning consistently. I'm a huge fan of blue and somewhat a loyalist almost exclusively to the color, I think you can tweak this deck to make the card choices more meaningful and flexible.

Id recommend Stormtide Leviathan -it would likely be useful with / synergize the theme you are going for, and this doesnt seem to be a deck capable of closing out a match fast, so you might be able to go long enough to bring it out. Shipbreaker Kraken might be a better mid to long term answer for board threats via lockdown than scourge of fleets, but i guess it really depends on the board state and how well each player is top decking.
Hope this helps!
