I love Hydra decks and this is not a bad one at all, although there are several things you can do to help with your mana ramp.

I do not care for Seek the Horizon or Frenzied Tilling because there are a number of better alternatives. Throwing in two or three Into the Wilds and 4 Gyre Sages would work into this deck very well. Into the Wilds works because you have a 40% chance of putting down an extra land every turn and Gyre Sage would be beautiful because of the high defense on your defenders constantly triggering its Evolve.

Fitting those two cards would make the deck a lot smoother in my opinion, and if you ever want to consider making a Hydra deck outside of Standard, feel free to take a look at mine.

I really like this deck you have here, but I think it would be more fun if you managed to squeeze in a few of the protection Swords (i.e. Feast and Famine, War and Peace, Etc...)

Maybe add a few Crypt Ghasts to help speed up the deck?

In my opinion, Banefire is a better choice for burn than Fireball.

Charmbreaker Devils is an Izzet deck's bread and butter. You should definitely try throwing one into this deck while it is still in rotation.

Also, Mercurial Chemister is an all around great card.

In my humble opinion, Cloudpost is a much better land for this kind of deck than Darksteel Citadel. And I would also recommend trying to squeeze in at least two Thespian Stages to help with your opening mana.

I appreciate the advice, but that's where the whole "For Fun" tag comes in. This isn't meant to be a very competitive deck, but rather one that is fun and is always interesting to play.

I've considered Vorel, but none of the green Level Up cards seemed all that appealing to me, and Tezzeret's Gambit just seems to costly to me.

Any decent Maze's End deck needs to be able to play multiple lands per turn. Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Rites of Flourishing, and Oracle of Mul Daya a would speed this deck up tremendously.

You should also consider adding Amulet of Vigor, because along with playing Maze's End several times per turn, you would then be able to use your gates you search for to help pay for its ability.

EDIT: Just realized you were going for Standard. If you have no interest in anything outside of Standard, disregard everything I just said and carry on good sir.

I hate to say it, but you have way too many enchantments. I highly recommend getting rid of Leyline of Vitality, Greater Aurmancy, Rites of Flourishing, one Elemental Mastery, and one Doubling Season.

In their place I would put cards like Call of the Conclave and Advent of the Wurm.

Get rid of the Slivers and add Axebane Guardian. He meshes with Overgrown Battlement a lot better, and I'm not sure what Druid of the Anima is even doing in this deck to be honest.

On a side note though, it seems like Craterhoof Behemoth would be a great win condition for this deck.

Get rid of Assemble the Legion. It is never going to be worth only having when the deck only has three red sources. Put in Render Silent instead.

Putting a Progenitor Mimic into this deck would speed it up a good deal. Not to mention you actually need some search cards from black because that guy seems to be your only win condition.

Just so you know, Bloodline Keeper >>>>> Vampire Nocturnis. Especially since you have Sorin in this deck.

As heart breaking as it is, drop an Avacyn and an Angelic Skirmisher. Too much late game clutter in your opening hand will hurt. I would also drop the Doomed Traveler to 3 because he does jack all late game and I would consider taking out Mentor of the Meek Completely. You should only need 2 Thrull Parasites, but you NEED more Crypt Ghasts to speed the deck up.

And drop a Murder and stuff in two or three Oblivion Rings. Much better removal overall in my opinion.

I've thought about it, but the amount of things that open up to the deck when I manage to play a Ranger's Path are far greater than just a Farseek. It's really just preference, but Ranger's Path has not steered me wrong yet.

Since you aren't going for standard, consider throwing in Tree of Redemption for stupid amounts of blocking. Also don't forget to lower your total number of Forests now that you have lowered your total guildgates. 10 should be more than enough.

Cool idea, but you don't really have any way of dealing with people, you know, actually attacking you.

And with as much searching as you have, I'm pretty sure you can just put the normal gates down to two each, possibly even one.

You may also want to consider Door to Nothingness as an alternate win condition.

Well I'll be damned sir, I feel quite stupid. And here I was feeling like a smart guy by going off the cards alone.

Thank you for the correction, and carry on the good work.

Faithmender doesn't combo with Tree of Redemption. Faithmender says "if you would gain life" while Redemption says "exchange your life total." Since you are exchanging life instead of gaining, Faithmender does not trigger so you would still only get 13 life.

Cool idea and it looks like a fun deck anyway though.

You have Mayael's Aria but no Primordial Hydra? Or any kind of Hydra at all?
