No. No it isn't.It's a bunch of cards with madness on a good curve with an adequate mana base (I think) and plenty of discard cards so the madness works.

Okay, okay. It's not a bunch of random cards with madness. It is hard to see whether a deck functions well or not until you've played against it.
Well, he could check out the Unraveling Minds theme deck, it's built around the Madness mechanic and works amazingly as is without edits. It's how I made my Madness deck with a few changes.
