Deck Description

This deck is a beast at one-on-one and a steamroller of doom in multiplayer at a reasonable price. It has almost no weaknesses for enemies to exploit, and you'll probably be the primary cause of everyone's death... and kill them all at once. Its only weaknesses is its dependence on a single combo to win and its vulnerability to decks that can quickly get their hand onto the field (aggro decks).

Because you use no creatures (if you are not utilizing the sideboard) he has no creatures to destroy with kill spells which leaves more cards in his hand to discard. Since you will generally be making him discard his entire hand, you will be taking away control over his hand from him and retaining control over yours. Remember, all the spells in your deck do one of two things, so you'll almost always get the functionally same hand every time, so discarding doesn't bother you.

If anything, discarding your hand is a boon. If you don't have a Megrim or Liliana's Caress in your hand, you can use a discard/draw hand card to get it; however you'll rarely have to do this. If you do feel the need to mulligan, multiple cards in this deck will help get cards back (see Windfall, Whispering Madness and Dark Deal). I can count the amount of times I've had to mulligan on one hand, and I've played this deck a lot.

This deck is designed to do high damage and kill FAST. If you have one Liliana's Caress on the field(costs two mana, so you can have it out by turn 2, or 1 if you have a dark ritual in your opening hand) and you cast Windfall and he discards just 4 cards that's 8 damage for three mana(16 if there's another Liliana's or Megrim out)! On average I win between turn 4 and 6, I've won several times at turn 3 and once on turn 2; enjoy.

How to Play

It's hard to mess up with this deck, but I would like to say a few things. You should have at least one Liliana's Caress or Megrim in your opening hand(chances are very good you will). You can definitely kill your opponent with only one Liliana's Caress or Megrim, but two is optimal; three is overkill.

Your goal is to get out two Liliana's Caresses or Megrims as quickly as possible and kill your opponent the next turn. If you're not playing a Liliana's Caress or Megrim, you're playing a discard/draw card (maybe a Waste Not card if you want) to cycle your hand to get one and do damage to your opponent at the same time; it's that simple.

You can utilize the sideboard if you want a legacy or vintage legal version of the deck.
