The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck discussion for you-Knight-ed

I like your deck title. Looks like a neat deck. How does it run?

Check out Kinsbaile Cavalier

No point, if he's got True Conviction in there. But Kinsbaile is cheaper to play and indestructable with a Knight Exemplar out, so i'd go with the Cavalier.

wow, haven't seen that card before, thanks for the suggestion. yeah, it is faster to play than true conviction. i'd still sideboard true conviction though :D

You could include Endless Horizons. In the mid game when you already have enough land to play everything, you can use it to get rid of all the land from your deck, and just draw creatures/spells. It adds alot of speed.

I would also include Emeria, the Sky Ruin to get back creatures that you lost (combos well with Endless Horizons i think), and/or a sun titan or two (its not a knight, but it helps).

I'd replace Arrest with Oblivion Ring.

i will include Emeria, the Sky Ruin :D replace 4 plains?

Wow, Endless Horizons is good! what do i replace, then? reduce the creature count?

also, oblivion ring is indeed better than arrest :D

Functionally, Disenchant and O. Ring are very similar, so you could remove disenchant, and bump the count for O. Ring up to 4. That gives you 2 slots left, fill with Endless Horizons. If you didnt see it, Endless Horizons makes Armored Ascension very good. :)

If you dont have it, or don't have the money, i understand, but Path to Exile is an incredibly potent card and i think should be in every mono white deck. If you can find a way for it to fit in, do so. Its amazing.

I dont know for sure on this one, but including Kinsbaile Cavalier sorta gets rid of most of the reason of leveling up Student of Warfare. Double strike counts as first strike as well, so the only benefit is a couple of +1/+1s which you shouldn't be short of with Light from Within and Honor of the Pure. Play test it to be sure, just a speculation.

Another suggestion that you should playtest with is Nimbus wings instead of armoured ascension. Its quicker to play.

You could also dry Dawn Charm instead of Soul Parry, its more versatile, or Holy Day for a cheaper casting cost.

re: Disenchant, oh yeah, failed to see that. thanks for bringing that up :D i would take that away, and put endless horizons in.

OR

i can take the Student of Warfare out, put 3 armored ascension, and then put 1 more endless horizon? :D

i agree, path to exile is indeed potent, but how do i make it fit in? hmm...

i'll have to play test it first, before switching armored ascension and nimbus wings. although that fits in the sideboard real nice. :D

thanks for the tip about dawn charm, i think it fits in real well :D

If you haven't seen it yet, take a look at:
http://sales.starcitygames.com/carddisplay.php?product=232125
http://sales.starcitygames.com/carddisplay.php?product=230237

The next set (mirrodin besieged) looks like it has quite a few knights (especially since one of the theme decks is based on it). Also, sometime next year (i think 2nd quarter? IIRC) Wizards is releasing a Knights vs. Dragons Dual Deck.

Knights look like theyre gonna stay for a while.

I always wanted to start a Knight deck myself (i used to have one too during the Time Spiral block), and i was thinking about which of my deck ideas to actually start. I realized that this deck doesn't have a strong win condition, and i wasn't sure how to get an overwhelming stampede effect untill i remembered Brave the Elements, which essentially makes all your creatures unblockable (since most people play one or two colored decks). Its very versatile. Adding that and Path to exile would make your mana curve a little better too.

ooh! good one! hmm...time to think of incorporating that.

how do i use path to exile? should i target my own?

D: no way! Not unless you're DESPERATE for land, but you shouldn't be beacuse you have Knight of the White Orchid and endless horizons. You use it on your opponents stuff, and actually it pairs well with Knight of the White Orchid because your opponent will probably have more land than you after you play a Path.

Swords to Plowshares is similar, but that one you could use on yourself or your opponent.

Not sure, they all seem like good cards. You're just gonna have to playtest and see what works best. Just think when you lose, having what card would have made you win, and which cards weren't quite what you expected or didn't do what they were supposed to. When you win think about what can be streamlined, what could be improved on. OR, which cards are more fun to play?

mono white knight deck NEEDS Student of Warfare and Brave the Elements. I have a mono white weenie deck and those two cards are sick. And add the new knight from mirrodin besieged. Doublestriker :) Oh and 2-3 path to exiles to clear the way is good too. (1-2 wraths with elspeth to come back from the wipeout or exemplar to dodge your own wrath might be something you can consider)

i prefer equipments over enchantments because they simply sit in your hand without a creature on the board and they die along with the creature when attached. so sword of body and mind would be nice against blue decks

One thing that has proven to be downright brutal with indestructible knights is Day of Judgment. Talk about removal, Even better if you have 2 Knight Exemplars out. I'd put just a couple in.

I forgot about that! D: I used to do that with Wrath in my treefolk deck since Timber Protector makes them indestructable.

Hi.

You may want to check out my Knight deck at http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=115472 as I have spent a LOT of time playing against some very nasty decks and have an excellent win/loss ratio.

Still, I like the Endless Horizons/Emeria combination.

A great start with what you have, now to perfect it!

Despite what i said earlier, you should get Student of Warfare back in the mix. Turn 1, play her. Turn 2 level up and swing for 3. Turn 3 play Honor of the pure, swing for 4, get to level 2. Turn 4 get to level 7, swing for 8.

Student of Warfare is not absolutely needed. Leveling sometimes takes too long. Use the mana for other pieces of the puzzle. Get it together quick and there will be nothing your opponents can do to you.

I have levelers in this deck, but they are not the main focus. They're just something used to help along the way.

I understand and agree with you... to a point. The thing about SoW that is so tempting, and what makes it such a valuable card for a Knight themed deck, is that it is fast to cast, and just as fast to level up.. unlike the Kabira Vindicator, another worthwhile card, which costs W2 to level, you should be able, especially in this type of deck, to be able to drop one or two mana a turn to level up... just my opinion... the deck looks simply awesome.. and makes me think about building it for myself.. I also love the Emeria/Endless Horizon combo..

coat of arms is bad for knights a better choice by far would be light from within which you already have so i advice you to not use coat of arms trust me xD knight decks dont need that many knights to win coat of arms is for swarm decks and if your putting any sort of enchantments on your creatures its not a swarm deck xD

Kabira Vindicator is better than Coat of Arms, if you want to stay creature-based.

Light from Within would be the better go to card if you have no preference (2WW).

Just remember, Emeria will bring the Vindicator back from the graveyard and not Light from Within.
