Deck Description

A human deck I put together with the idea in mind of having multiple cards that build on each other, and interact.

-"Champion of Lambholt" is my primary offensive and defensive card, with the idea being to buff it as much as possible, to make it hard to kill, and to essentially make all my other creatures unblockable.

-"Mikaeus, the Lunarch" is essentially a "+1/+1" engine for "Champion of Lambholt"

-"Somberwald Sage" is intended to be a free buff for Mikaeus if I have them out when I cast him. If not, they essentailly allow me to play every other creature I have for absolutely nothing.

-"Ulvenwald Tracker" is primarily used with any buffed creature to take out flyers, since i have no other defense against them.

-"Intrepid Hero" has many uses with this deck. It can take out any strong creatures, which means I only need to make my "Champion of Lambholt" a 4/4 before all my creatures are unblockable. Can also be used to take out powerful fliers.

-"Mentor of the Meek" is basically a card draw engine, since most of my creatures are 2 power or less.

-"Cathars' Crusade" is just to build my unblockablilty much faster.

-"Cleaver Riot" is so that when my creatures are unblockable, it will likely become game over.

So basically, control the field by destroying threats, build defense, slow opponents ability to cast, burn, and/or overwhelm.

Deck discussion for Human Rule

Hm... Looks troublesome. lands are off, if you look at mana symbol occurence, it just don't look right in my opinion. The fogs don't work with the theme of the deck, and natural end should be in the sideboard, not in the deck, unless the group you play with ALL have enchantment control/metal craft decks.

Curse of exhaustion is fine, but won't wreck your opponent. In fact, mage blade is unaffected completely, aggro decks only suffer by playing only one rancor at a time(but even one rancor is enough to end you)

vigilante justice is a great card.... in the eyes of your opponent. I personally would love to see you tap out for that, and then pass to me, where I would play a captains call and swing with a 5/5, probably breaking whatever small defense you had.

The deck has potential, but you have a lot of work ahead of you. I would start by cutting the 2 ends and the 2 fogs and adding 4 gather the townsfolks.

Lands adjusted, I forgot to reassess them when I was done with the deck. I set them up that way while I was making the deck to keep count of how many cards I had to add/remove to fit 60 cards.

This deck is built to protect against that 5/5 swing. Simple tap of "Intrepid Hero" and bye bye 5/5, not to mention the multiple cards that buff each other, likely leading to me having something to block it anyway. Or, if i have a forest and 1 other mana available, I can just use "Ulvenwald Tracker" and use my strongest creature to fight that 5/5 and take it out easy.

I changed to the "Gather the Townsfolk", and I'm keeping both end and fog in sideboard. I do actually play against a lot of people who run enchant and artifact heavy decks, so I always try to have natural end in my green decks. And against the usual players, it will likely end up replacing 2 of my townsfolk in the regular deck.

"Curse of Exhaustion" doesn't serve to wreck my opponent, but to give me the field advantage.

Imagine playing against this, knowing that if you play a creature stronger than 4, it's dead, and if you play one less then 4, it's likely dead because of "Ulvenwald Tracker", and if you play a spell, you are denied being able to play a creature.

It forces my opponents to slow down their play, allowing for easier control of the field.

"Vigilante Justice" only allows me to use it's ability, not my opponent, so "Captain's Call" would mean nothing to me other than 3 creatures that can't block me anyway because of "Champion of Lambholt", or will be killed with my tracker.

I really don't see much of a problem with this deck, aside from board wipes.
I can't be overpowered with big creatures, "Intrepid Hero" and "Ulvenwald Tracker" + a stacked "Champion of Lambholt" sees to that.

I can't be blocked by a thousand weenies, "Champion of Lambholt" sees to that.

Many of my creatures stack each other, plus "Kessig Malcontents" and "Vigilante Justice" for raw damage.

Not to mention that my opponent can;t build much of a defense because of "Curse of Exhaustion".
