So this was a deck made for fun. I have always loved the suspend mechanic and particularly Jhoira of the Ghitu. After messing with the deck, though, she fell out, and play with a similar deck evoked interest in Reality Strobe and how it recurs. The deck works to bring out the full effect of the card, getting it off often to wipe the field of opponent permanents. The deck is mostly for fun, so tell me what you think.
So the deck is based around having fun with suspend mechanics. Obviously, Paradox Hazes need to be brought out, and the Lotus Blooms and Ancestral Visions are meant to bring out as many cards as quickly as possible, creating a slight ramping and card advantage effect. From there, Reality Strobes are pushed and Deep-Sea Krakens are dropped. If a strong Aeon-Chronicler can be laid down, even better, but he is mostly there to draw cards. From here I'll go down individual cards not covered above:Lands:Island-- Well, blue needs to start somewhereReliquary Tower-- This deck has the potential to draw burst of cards, so I'd rather be prepared.Quicksand-- This card is iffy. I was looking for ways to slow down opponents early game. I thought I could knock off a creature or two here, but the blow to my land base might be a bit more than I could take. We shall see.Instants:Dissolve-- The scry is the important part here, as it allows a slight dig while countering, creating a pseudo card-advantage. Rather useful, yes? I was considering Remand, considering they would allow a draw, are cheaper, and continue with the bounce theme, but they are very expensive.Rune Snag-- Lovely card. Cheap, efficient, and it gets better and better the more it is used.Creatures:Chronozoa-- I am amazed how underused this card is, especially in blue. Four for a 3/3 flyer may not be great, but this one dies and spawns two copies every three turns, which in turn die and spawn two more copies, each, every three turns. They become a threat pretty quickly.Jhoira's Timebug-- Eats a time counter every turn. Cool by me. Nothing else besides instants or Rift Elemental (red) can do that.Lighthouse Chronologist-- This card is kind of ridiculous. He will take a while to level up, though. Obviously more turns is always a good thing.
