The rationale for the inclusion of Jace made me like it even less. If you get the Day-Breach combo, I think any creature is enough of a finisher that you don't need him. In addition, just getting the combo means you have a creature in play with which to start the beatdown. Maybe even fourth Tamiyo could be better in the slot. I've always been a fan of 4 Force of Will and 1 Force of Negation suit. Then a few Scoldings and Spell Pierces to round it up. I started to dislike the idea of Daze in a control shell even though I saw a few UWx control decks running it even as a four of. I don't know if the powercreep bombs nowadays require it, but control shells playing it just doesn't feel right.

Oh, a spicy build! Love it. Haven't seen Kozilek's Command in action, but it seems quite strong and versatile. I feel like two is a good amount of them, but I'd probably try to play something to replay it. You talked of difficult of including Mystic Sanctuary in the deck, but fortunately you kind of have a spot for it already as Seat of Synod doesn't work with Urza's Saga because Seat doesn't have a mana cost and Saga only searches for artifacts with the specific mana cost of {0} or {1}. I'd also love to see Snapcaster Mage, but I haven't seen it a lot in recent years which makes me believe it has sadly been powercrept. To my untrained eye Devastation Tide, Jace and Campfire seem out of place. Haven't ever seen Devastation Tide in any deck lists and to me it seems extremely clunky. Especially in a deck that already tries to use its cantrips to find the pieces of the combos or shuffle redundant things away. What I have watched of legacy, Jace has seemed slow. I believe it to be better in shells running Counterspell and more permanent removal (not bounce). Another Murktide would probably be a better addition and would turn corner faster when you have stabilised. Campfire seems worse than Shadowspear which can give your constructs trample to push damage better through. You'll almost always have construct or two when you have Shadowspear.A few minor things:-Three Spell Pierces feels like a lot. Some number of Dazes or Force of Negations could take their place. Daze would also work nicely with Mystic Sanctuary in a long game.-Don't know if it would be too dermanding for the mana base, but a Counterspell or two would make the mid and late game better. Although I don't really know how Stern Scolding plays.-Two Undercity Sewers seems a lot. It theoretically lets you cast Dismember, but having an untapped blue mana more often might just be better. All in all, love the build. Please, post how it performs when/if you get to play it. Haven't been active with legacy in a few years and much has changed so all of my points might be moot in the post MH3 era. Cheers!
I don't actually want to mana ramp because I got Quest for Ula's Temple. I also got only 22 lands from which only 17 islands
Kederekt Leviathan will bounce the Quest for Ula's Temple back to your handI have done similar deck, but with a lot less big creatures because I think you don't need so muchhttp://www.mtgvault.com/alivan/decks/oceans-depths/
You should look up to modern version of Death & Taxes which is powerful in my opinion. If I recall correctly someone won a modern grandprix with this kind of deck.
Now I like it a lot. One thing that comes to mind is that you should cut one Brave the Elements and put on Chalice of Life more in my opinion. Other than that it looks perfect.
I think it's a good deck, but it needs a little tweaking.Firstly, why you have two Serra Ascendants in sideboard? I'd put them inside, and maybe remove Leonin Skyhunter as it is just a flyer who isn't helping you gain life or abuse your high life total. If you put Ascendants the Martyr of Sands would be a great combo card with them.I also don't like Divine Favor and Safe Passage because you have access to Brave the Elements which is a lot better in my opinion. It negates opponent's removal spell as well as gets all your creatures through. It does almost the same as Safe Passage, prevents damage to your creatures from one coloured creatures. It also enables lots of other neat tricks.
That would be first pseudo-removal that would go in. I think it's a good sideboard card because I don't know what to take out from the deck.
That is actually a good suggestion and I'll have to try them out. Thank you for ideas.
Good suggestions. Serra Ascendant isn't fitting into my budget if it would it'd be insta 4-of. I also like the soul sisters aka Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant so I'll keep them at four, and their also very when there is couple of the them on the field. You're right about the protection, but the suggestions aren't what I'm looking for. I'll add Brave the Elements to the sideboard. Thanks for the reply and good luck to you too.
You can but it's too price for my taste (and wallet) so that I didn't include it in this deck.
Thanks for the comment! I just liked to do a five colour deck and I got the idea when I saw Mealstrom Archangel. I decided that I wanted to do casual control deck with the funniest and best cards. I think I have enough of mana acceleration. all in all nine cards. And I would have added Chromatic Lantern if I had money for it.
Shieldmate's manacost is just too high, I need to keep mana open and maybe even counter the hate that is directed to Lord of the Unreal. And I also want something big in cmc 4, like Phantasm Dragon. But thanks for the comment, I appreciate feedback.
Nice deck, but if your budget allows you should play Venser, the Sojourner. It allows you to bounce your creatures every turn and wins you the game if comboed with Stonehorn Dignitary. Another thing would be Wall of Omens, it allows you to draw cards a lot and defends you from attacks. I would also replace your umbras with Spectral Flight or something else. And thanks for the comment on my deck
Thanks for the comment. Soulcage Fiend is there because it hurts my opponent more than myself and it might do the last 3 damage I need. But i'll need to test Black Cat and Unhallowed Pact and decide what I need more.
First of all you'll need a 60 card deck for it to play properly, I dont know why but it's like that. You can cut Blazing Salvo, Fireball and thunderbolt. Then you should replace Rite of Flame to Manamorphose. If you want this to be pyromancer ascension deck you should run Preordains and Ponders. you can cut Fireball, Searing Blaze and punishing fire, because there is very much burn in your deck and getting two red mana for Searing Blaze might be hard. Also run four of each spell because you want that ascension active as soon as possible. Check my ascension deck for ideas and feel free to comment http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=273108
Only thing i would change is changing Visions of Beyond for Brainstorm and maybe changing Into the Roil to Vapor Snag for some extra damage. Are eight burn spells enough? Check my ascension deck for ideas and feel free to comment. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=273108
At first invoke the firemind is carbage. If you want this to be ascension deck try to play four of each spell. Preordain and ponder are good in ascension deck. You might want to play Vapor Snag instead of unsummon for that extra point of damage. Izzet chronarch can be replaced with call to mind(which is copied with ascension) or kiln fiend. Delver of secrets is great creature for this kind of deck. Check out my similar decks for ideas http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=273108 or http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=238764
I have thinked about preordain. but i didnt have room for it. Now that you say that i have too much burn, i'll cut some and replace them with preordains. Thanks for the comment, i didnt now how much burn i should have. And kiln fiend is alternative win condition.
Obsidian battle-axe up to 4, its good because of haste and power boost.. Maybe some double strikers viashino Slaughtermaster and Marisi's Twinclaw for extra damage from power boost. Check out my warrior deck for ideas. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=236929
