Deck Description

I sorta figured out this loopy combo thing with Archangel of Thune, Fathom Mage and Horizon Chimera, and figured that this endless loop could be used to trigger the ability of Laboratory Maniac. Added some chump blockers, removal, and ways to scry so that the four main heroes are more easily found... enjoy!

How to Play

Archangel of Thune, Fathom Mage, and Horizon Chimera, as explained above, are three cards, that, whenever life is gained or a card is drawn, it creates an endless cycle that allows for cards to drawn until you run out, triggering Laboratory Maniac's game-winning ability. I decide to include Augury Owl, Omenspeaker, and Sigiled Starfish as a means of both finding these cards easier and providing chump blocking so I don't die before the combo can occur. To further stall for time, use Glimpse the Sun God, Oblivion Ring, etc. to further hinder the opponent's victory and get the cards you need for victory.

Deck discussion for Endless Card Draw and... Oops!

Really cool combo!!!!

I highly recommend adding: Wall of Omens and maybe Courser of Kruphix

Depending on your budget, Fetch-lands, Shock-lands, Remand, and Path to Exile would make this deck infinitely more competitive.

Overall, this is a really cool combo that i've never thought of before. Awesome!

additionally, you could add 'Vitu-ghazi, the city tree' for a cheap source of renewable chumpers

sorry, this deck has just gotten me really excited :D

The funny part is that you have Fathom Mage and Horizon Chimera both in another deck.

And that I unkowingly liked your deck right after you liked mine.

I know, I love Simic and blue/green in general, and I was looking for a good way to use those two cards in a deck together because they were my favorites, and I knew there had to be that third puzzle piece somewhere. Thank you for the like!

I really like this combo! I think you could speed up your combo by - 3 Dissolve -3 Glimpse the Sun God -3 Pacifism then +4 Path to Exile +4 Explore +1 Courser of Kruphix. As well I disagree with the Vitu-Ghazi suggestion. I don't ever see you wanting to spend that kind of mana on a 1/1 saproling which has nothing to do with the deck at all. Gavony Township however fit's much nicer.
Explore adds card draw and will let you play the lands which are revealed by Courser making it even better then it already is. Path is pricey but for good reason, it's 1 of the best removals in the format and it happens to let you path one of your own creatures ramping your self. Which you probably wouldn't mind doing to one of your scry creatures after you declare it as a blocker.

You're right, Gavony Township is definitely a better fit in this deck.

Although I question why I'd want to use a card that requires me to shuffle my library after I just used a creature to scry. Seems a tad silly, honestly.

Well it certainly isn't gonna be the go to play 8 or 9 out of 10 times. If there happens to be a situation where you block a creature, then path your creature so you can guaranty that needed 5th land to cast Archangel the following turn, which is already in hand. Obviously very situatuional but with triggers happening when lands enter and a high curve in such a fast meta it may come up.

95% of the time path will be for removal, but now you will know that it's that 5% of the time when it becomes a ramp spell. The heavens will open up as you realize that the "drawback" actually came in handy!
But seriously, it's arguably the best removal spell in the format.

I think I would be correct in saying that you should only be running one Laboratory maniac. He serves no purpose in your deck until you have combo'd off at which point you will have drawn into him regardless of how many you're running. You want to never see him until you want to.

Man I sound like a asshole when I was drunk my bad I ment there is another way for the same combo to go off with fathom Mage horizon chimera and sunbond instead of archangel of thune if you added it to this deck I figured it would speed it up plus help it synergies other cards plus adding a couple time warps anyone of the return target instant or sorcery/card from your graveyard and a followed footsteps helps the deck into a better win ratio and more control

Reminds me of my legacy deck, same concept except you ritual, ritual, undercity informer, mill deck, play 4 narcomeaba, dread return, Angel of Glory's Rise, draw a card. No lands in the whole deck.
