Deck discussion for Theros Human Give/take

a lot of one and two-ofs makes an inconsistent deck. play more full playsets and cut down the clutter so your draws are more consistent.

Brave the elements is definitely worth considering, as it not only can protect all of your creatures, but it can let you get in free hits on your opponent.

If you are going to run ready and willing then maybe chuck in some of the shock or scry lands that share a green in, just so that you could cast the other half if you wanted

I don't see the point of Whip of Erebos or Triad of Fates... You have no creatures with "enters the battlefield" effects to take advantage of. Maybe add Ashen Rider or Evangel of Heliod? I'd suggest Gray Merchant of Asphodel but you don't have enough Black devotion to make it even suggestible.

I was putting the whip as more of a lifelink idea that with the sanguine bond, even if my hits dont hit directly they will still loose life.

9 mana to pull it off? And with so much enchantment and artifact hate now in this format? Ok good luck. If you pull it off, kudos to you...

9 mana? I don't think he expects to play both of them at once...

technically, with all the cheap creatures he's running, the whip will curve into the enchantment perfectly, granted the whip is not exiled first.

HotPolo, it's still a 9 mana investment. Last time I checked 5+4=9....

SCIENCE BITCHES!! lol

It's math. And even though it is nine mana over all, playing them on two different turns means you only need five mana to play them both.

Math is a science, the science of numbers....

My original point remains, seems too expensive a combo to invest in, but it's his deck and if it works, kudos to him.

its not a combo, its an interaction. and youre arguing semantics. its a solid interaction if you have a creature in the GY that you need back. should it be in the SB? probably, but thats irrelevant.

My original point remains. No matter what semantics you claim are being used.

Either way, this is a pointless argument as I have already said it's the poster's deck, they can do what they want, and all the better for them if it works. I merely offered my assistance and advice, they don't have to listen, just as I don't have to argue semantics.

Thanks for the suggestion, but its not a combo its just a interaction that could benefit me, if it doesn't happen then the humans would work just fine with out.

Needs banisher priest, cartel aristocrat, frontline medic, precinct captain, sin collector, and xanthid necromancers either in the main or sideboard. Those are extremely powerful humans. Heliod himself would also be good in this deck since he gives you a way to make tokens other than elspeth and your entire team vigilance.

Might I suggest going up to 23 lands. This deck has a pretty high curve and I can guarantee you will get mana screwed at least half the time.

I like the idea of this deck a lot dude. It has a lot of the cards I wanted to add to complete m14/dragonsmaze/theros life gain deck. Mine is in esper color combination. The scratch version of it I put together last night with the cards I had bodied my friends' "refined" decks. Course I had aetherlings as my WC. And it helps when you bestow a +1/+1 lifelink on it, but I havnt even put in fireshriekers yet! Screw the neigh sayers man. 4 mana to give all your creatures lifelink with the whip is entirely worth it. I only had 1 creature with a 'enters the battlefield' buff aka mogis's marauder. but I still think its worth it in a lifelink deck it allows u to use whatever creatures u like. Note: debt to the deathless is like my favorite card. when I first pulled two of them out of a dragons maze booster box I thought they were too high mana cost and not worth it. But nah dawg, they are way too awesome late game mang. I cant wait to get some sanguine bonds and path of braverys to top my deck off. Overall I like the idea of your deck but like someone else mentioned id personal have different ratios of particular cards. And maybe swap a couple creatures for ones I personally like better :)
