Deck Description

I got jealous of everyone making extraction decks so I decided that I was going to try to find a way to make one for myself without resorting to the insanely high prices that such a deck typically entails.

Unfortunately, it is difficult. I have been at it for hours. I do think I have gotten it to a point where I can show it off without too much shame though. The heavy emphasis on creature control helps offset the poor speed associated with the cheaper of extraction cards.

This deck would be very weak against burn decks and weenie decks. As such, I may want to swap a few creature kills (Murder) for some targeted discard or some -1/-1 distribution. That being said, it is really late and I don't want to continue tweaking this without some input. I just ask that people keep the $10 budget in mind when they make suggestions.

Deck discussion for Extraction [Budget: $10]

who would have thought you could do such a good deck for such a ridiculous price, perhaps an vampire night hawk would be an option for but otherwise i think its great

Tempting. Life is a bit vulnerable in this deck. I think the kills will afford me more wiggle room though. Perhaps once I have this deck in my possession, I will throw some in and see the play difference.

I have been looking through your list of $10 decks, and I have to say I am very impressed with them. As someone who is always trying to get more and more people to play this game I love, seeing all these cost-effective ideas is great =]

Unfortunately, Extraction is notoriously difficult to make budget friendly, with each of the three main forms exceeding one and a half thousand dollars (which is insanely high, but I digress)...but I will say you did well with it. One possible option is to go the route of Thoughtpicker Witch and/or Earwig Squad. Don't quote me on this, but I think those two aren't too expensive.

Thanks for the kind words. I was wondering if I would hear from the resident extraction expert. I considered thoughtpicker witch but felt the usefulness of the sacrifice mechanic would be hindered by the shortage of creatures and earwig squad would require me to add goblins or rogues to make effective.

Unfortunately, unless I shell out more cash, I can't really play much more extraction from what I have seen. The only avenues I can see changing are my end game critter or my creature kills. =/
