Emrakul reads: When Emrakul is put into a graveyard from anywhere, its owner shuffles his or her graveyard into his or her library.
Blightsteel colossus reads: If Blightsteel Colossus would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, reveal Blightsteel Colossus and shuffle it into its owner's library instead.

See the difference in wording? Emrakul's wording actually states that it does in fact hit the graveyard by using "when" where as Blightsteel's wording doesn't let it hit the graveyard before the shuffle effect due to the words "If" and "instead"

So yes i'm dead serious about using an instant to reanimate Emrakul.

Goryo's vengeance can Reanimate emrakul, his ability says "when he goes to the graveyard" meaning for a split second he actually is in the graveyard which enables you to use an instant to reanimate him. A sorcery will not reanimate emrakul. You're confusing him with a lot of other creatures that shuffle back into your library upon death. They use the word instead, not when. It's all in the wording

It's all about getting the apostles out as fast as you can because you are going to be taking maximum damage in the meantime since your opponent knows you won't chump block with them. The mana ramp comes from dark ritual and basal thrull. Once you get a thrumming stone out followed by a shadowborn it should be game over.
