Hit hard early by using your Favored Hoplite and Akroan Crusader to quickly fill the board. In a pinch, use Favored Hoplite as an early blocker, popping instants on him to both strengthen him and prevent damage dealt. Akroan Crusader fills the role of early blocker also, holding the lines with a stream of tokens until you can get your heavy hitters into the fray. Legion Loyalist provides some cheap extra utility to complement this. By turn three you should be dropping Phalanx Leaders and Fabled Heroes to really start pumping out the hits, and using Guttersnipe to add even more bang to the instants that trigger your Heroic creatures. At this point you've hopefully either gotten a Blind Obedience on the field to slow down your opponent, or dropped Heliod, God of the Sun or Tajic, Blade of the Legion to lead your soldiers in a final assault to wrap up the game. The key to this deck is your instants. There are 20 chances to trigger Heroic from playing these, 12 of which can trigger 2 different Heroic instances at once. Don't forget about the potential damage from your Guttersnipe too. Your creatures are good on their own but lethal when you start throwing two and three instants a turn.
