Deck Description

The main idea behind this deck is to create an impressively quick mana ramp combo between Arbor Elf, Utopia Sprawl and Overgrowth. Then, using the mana generated this way, to play a bomb your opponent will struggle to deal with.

This deck is incredibly consistent, having either a Gaea’s Revenge, Mistcutter Hydra or Terra Stomper out by turn three more often than not.

How to Play

Using the strategy listed below, this deck can produce a 12/12 Mistcutter Hydra as early as turn three (13/13 if you draw another Forest).

Turn one:
1. Play Forest.
2. Cast Arbor Elf.

Turn two:
1. Play Forest.
2. Cast Utopia Sprawl enchanting untapped Forest.
3. Tap enchanted Forest for 2 mana, untap it with Arbor Elf's ability for a total of 4 mana.
4. Cast Overgrowth on same enchanted Forest.
5. Cast Arbor Elf.

Turn three:
1. Tap non enchanted Forest for 1 .
2. Tap enchanted Forest for 4 mana, untap it with both Arbor Elf's ability for a total of 12 mana.
3. Cast Mistcutter Hydra using all available mana.

Deck discussion for Arbor Elf Ramp

Solid build you have here. +1 from me.
I think you would get more value out of Voyaging Satyr then Somberwald Sage.
As well do you find your running enough Forests for both Stone-Seeder Hierophant and Scryb Ranger? I would imagine 19 would be the least I would want to run.

Thankyou for your feedback! Voyaging Satyr is definitely a card I overlooked. However, I would find myself more likely to switch out the Stone-Seeder Hierophants for them. 16 forests sounds incredibly low, but no more than that is needed. The deck only really needs 2 or 3 forests on the field to run effectively (1 to enchant with auras and the other to be used by Scryb Ranger etc).
