Deck Description

Just put this deck together with a theme in mind however i want to get some consistancy so i ned to find out what cards work (and make them 4's) and what cards don't (and get rid of them).

Let me know if anyone wants me to look over their deck. Thanks for any help/advice in the meantime.

How to Play

Ramp to start, would like to put some sort of early defense in the deck somewhere.
then on to the dragons and hydras with xenagos to help to do lethal damage. With a few curve balls thrown in.

Deck discussion for Dragon Hydras

Just put this deck together and would like to know which cards to aim for a playset of as I've got a lot of 1's in there.

Let me know what you think i should add/remove, thanks!

i think i need 4x axebane guardian as they have good early defense (0/3) and can tap for mana which makes it versatile.

Im no pro, but imo I would take out a land or two and add in at least 2 more mana accelerator creatures, such as 2 more voyaging satyr. Mindsparker seems to be more of a side deck creature since it has no effect if your not vs'ing blue or white. Maybe replace it with another ogre battledriver to get those hydras hitting as soon as they hit the field. Kalonian Hydra is a bit more expensive at about 10$ per, but would fit in perfect, a 4/4 that doubles all counters (including itself) whenever it swings, with ogre battledriver out youll be swinging with an 8/8 as soon as it hits the field, and it would pump up mistcutter and heroe's bane in addition to itself

Take out Nessian Wilds Ravager, put in another Polukranos. Polukranos is much better. Also, move Mistcutter to sideboard and maybe add a Hydra Broodmaster. Kalonian Hydra would be great here, and if you remove your Awaken Ancient and karametras favors and things like that, you'll have room for much better stuff. A Savageborn Hydra would be fun as a one of, and Vastwood Hydra could be very helpful in this deck. The main problem here is that most of your important stuff is in the deck as a one of, when for Stormbreath and Polukranos you should have at least three. Having one of each makes the deck unreliable and hard to play consistently. I'd suggest running four Sylvan Caryatids instead of Voyaging Satyr, also try and get two Domris at least.

"Having one of each makes the deck unreliable and hard to play consistently." - Completely agree. Just put it together on the cards I've currently got, based on a theme. I want to see what works and make them a four of.
I'd agree with Nessian Wilds Ravagerand and Polukranos, Mistcutter and Hydra Broodmaster, in fact your right about the lot. The problem is this deck can get very pricey very quickly!

Yeah I totally understand. Vastwood would be a good addition to this deck, and also, if you just want to throw a sideboard together, put in a couple wasteland vipers for Polukranos. If you bloodrush him after making him monstrous, he gets deathtouch and you can kill all their creatures. Overall, if you could choose one pricey card to get to put in here first, get either Kalonian Hydra or Stormbreath. Both very good powerhouses for this deck. I'd think about a sideboard as well.

First I would try to cut out 3 cards and bring yourself down to a nice even 60. I would remove the ordeals, I know they are awesome, but you are not swinging early with creatures and so the ramp you get from them isn't that great. You would do better with the font of fertility. The battledriver is cool, but sits at a critical spot in your ramp where you can either cast him or a hydra, and thus would slow you down a bit in the long run. If you want hast go either for the Hammer of Purphoros or maybe even blur sliver. I would drop Awaken the ancient.

-Destructive revelry
-searing blood
-Awaken the ancient
-battledriver
-mindsparker(sideboard)
-mistcutter hydra(sideboard)
-voyaging saytr
-chariot of victory
-3ordeal of nylea

+2 fall of the hammer
+2 hammer of purphoros
+3 Font of fertility

Think these adjustments would make your deck more consistent. You really should only need to get 1 or 2 bug nasties out to put the pressure on you opponent.
