Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

The idea is to mill to get to some choice cards quick and disregard most of your creatures lives. With the Troll Lord you can scavenge anything that's a creature and with Deadbridge Chant you are returning cards to your hand and casting creatures for free. The Down//Dirty and Treasured Find are insurance for rescuing choice cards from the graveyard. Feel free to make any suggestions I am totally open to ideas; a lot of the inconsistency is limited card pool but I am will to go buy some cards.

How to Play

Hit hard and fast with the haste creatures and if they are keeping up use the Deadbridge Chant to cast them for free or use the Troll Lord to scavenge them.

Deck discussion for Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Well the first suggestion I have is replace all of your guild gates with shock lands if you can afford them.
My second suggestion is put some 1 drops in you deck so that turn one isn't always place land, go. I would recommend shadow alley denizen or slitherhead.

Who or what would you recommend I replace with the one drops?

Personally I would swap out the maze abominations.

Slitherhead by far. Also you should put something like Farseek or Rampant Growth in here so you can mana accelerate a bit. Consider dropping Rakdos Shred-Freak for Rakdos Cackler as well.

Slitherhead is good for sure and also maybe an Abrupt Decay. Hellhole Flailer is always nice. Corpsjack Menace if you want to focus more on Scavenge. Deadly Recluse for a bit of control. Deathrite Shaman if you're loaded ;D Now that I think about it, Golgari Charm wouldn't be too bad here.

I am definitely putting in Slitherhead. What applications would Golgari Charm have? < Not being sarcastic or snide by the way.

It's no problem. That's actually a good question. Golgari Charm would be strictly OK, but there would be a few benefits to putting it in. First there is the all creatures get -1/-1. This aspect is strictly OK and would only be used against certain decks. Next I would like to examine the Last ability which regenerates each creature you control since your deck mostly focuses on creatures, it would probably save you from many field clearer cards like Supreme Verdict. That is probably the main reason you would want it, though there are cards that could easily take it's place. Now I would like to point out the second ability. In my recent viewing of a lot of post M14 decks, I've noticed a lot of decks are now using powerful new enchantments. You even have one yourself. Even though it's only one. the enchantment you're using can be quite devastating. Also without any blue or white it would be very hard for you to deal with most enchantments. However, even though none of the abilities are exceptionally great, the choice of the three abilities makes Golgari Charm a card that can deal with a lot of the coming popular decks of M14. All that being said, I still think it may suit you better on the sideboard.

Ya I still need check out what all is in M14. I never thought of it saving me from sweeps. Would the Abrupt Decay deal with a lot of those enchantments?

Oh yes! There are plenty of good enchantments with three mana cost or less. Allow me to point out the most popular. Agoraphobia, Alpha Authority, Arrest, Blind Obedience, Bred for the Hunt, Crackling Perimeter, Detention Sphere, Dying Wish, Five-Alarm Fire, Gift of Orzhova, Legion's Initiative, Madcap Skills, Oath of the Ancient Wood, Pacifism, Path of Bravery, Rest in Piece, Soul Tithe, Stab Wound, and Unflinching Courage. And those are just for post M14! That being said, if those are the three mana cost enchantments, just wait till you see the more expensive ones (l:^1)
