I'm trying to make a green/white soldier deck as well, but are there any other green (or g/w) spells other than dauntless escort and garruk that are worth including?

As you can see in the decklist, I play Sigil Captain and Overrun, both green spells. Sigil Captain for buffing up Conqueror's Pledge and Overrun for... basically the same thing.
Although, I once played Bant Sureblade, which is a pretty good soldier. The only problem with him was that I didn't get many other multicolored permanents out very often, making his ability nearly useless
