Deck Description

This is just a casual attempt to construct a deck entirely on cards that are in the soon to be released Premium Deck Series: Graveborn. This means I am only using cards that I can get from the Premium Deck and not using any cards that are not in the list. This deck will probably not work as well as some of the better legacy reanimate lists given the limited choice of cards I have but a fully foiled deck is always nice. =) Anyhow, all comments on what changes I can make, including adding cards that are not in the Premium Deck list is welcomed.
Enjoy!

I removed all the smaller creatures that were in the original graveborn list as they do not pose much of a threat compared to our reanimate targets. In their place, I filled it up with more useful spells like entomb and reanimate as well as exhume to increase the chances of putting one of our huge creature on the board as early as turn 2.

One example of the scenario I love a lot is reanimating crosis on turn 2 and start messing with your opponent's hand Nicol Bolas style on turn 3. this practically screws any mono-colored deck you're up against.
An alternate way is reanimating the sphinx against red deck and start gaining tons of life whenever you swing.

Deck discussion for Reanimate (inspired by Graveborn Premium Deck)

it seems like a good tweek, I would stick with putrid imp though since its a discard outlet and it can be used to flashback cabal terapy later on. just my 2 eurocents

It actually took me a while to finally decide to remove putrid imp but with the inclusion of additional copies of more efficient cards that can fill my grave such as entomb and buried alive, as well as sickening dreams and last rites, the 1/1 creature just does not cause enough field advantage to deserve a spot IMO.

Putrid Imp is a 1 drop, while Sickening Dreams is a 2 and Last Rites even a 3 drop; more importantly you can use Putrid Imp as often as you want to!
apart from Entomb, Putrid Imp is the only way to reanimate a creature on turn 2! buried alive and Last Rites won't enable you to reanimate anything before turn 4, Sickening dreams not before turn 3 - that's a huge difference!

yeap, i now see the wisdom in adding the imp, so decklist edited. =)

just for clarification: i forgot cabal therapy which will also enable you to reanimate on turn 2 ;)

yeap, so with cabal therapy, entomb and putrid imp, chance of t2 reanimate is very high with reanimate or exhume.

and animate dead ;)
but you're right it's quite a decent chance. and if you're looking for another way to benefit of putrid imp i'd recomment my favorite reanimation spell victimize. (which is of course not just awesome in combination with putrid imp but generally, especially after buried alive) - though it was unfortunately not in graveborn

i have to agree with ESPRcon, Putrid Imp is the best discard option ever. he is not in there as a threat but to ensure you've actually got something in your graveyard to revive. he's doing that a lot better than Last Rites and still a decent amount better than Sickening Dreams.
Diabolic Servitude is too expensive and even besides the cost I really don't like it because it exiles the reanimated creature as soon as it dies and thereby preventing you from reanimating it ever again

in case you're looking for further inspiration, here's my reanimator deck that is also based on the graveborn deck (apart from the reanimator targets):

(i'd also be glad for any comments/suggestions)

I made one as well in honor of the release as well, though instead of Avatar of Woe, I have Avatar of Vengence. I'm surprised not to see any Bloodghasts in this deck.

The reanimate deck i'm playing purely utilize on placing large creatures as early as turn 2. bloodghast itself is a good card but it just isn't worth the cost to reanimate it.. moreover, it can already come back to life by itself which means i will not be able to fully utilize my reanimate cards.

As for Avatar of Woe, i chose it because I am using only cards that can be found within the Premium deck itself and nothing else outside from it. And I took a look at your list, did you mean Demigod of Revenge instead of Avatar of Vengeance?

There's only 2 creatures I fear that reanimator decks play while I'm playing my mono green elf token deck - 1) Elesh Norn, the -2/-2 kills my deck and 2) Iona, any mono colour deck fears her, though I've worked something out for a sideboard card to get around her :p

yeap, and lucky for you, the soon to be released Graveborn Premium deck does not have either of them which means I probably will not be including it in this list. =)

Well if you ever do use stuff from outside the Premium Deck, I highly suggest adding those two.

yeap.. I definitely agree! =) imagine a 7 CMC creature on turn 2.. or even a possible turn 1 by the following play:
Land, Dark Ritual, Entomb(choose any huge creature in your deck) and finally exhume FTW. =))

If you ever use cards that aren't from graveborn, consider dark ritual And the two cards DedWards mentioned. Turn one win against a mono colored deck (usually).
Other than that this is a sweet build!
