im working on a deck similiar to yours. I hadn't thought of desecration demon or nighthawk. I think nighthawk with the +4/+4 from scavenging vexing devil would be pretty sick. Instead of putrefy/abrupt decay im using dreadbore and abrupt decay. I like the addition of being able to take out plains walkers. Im testing out using slumbering dragon as well.

I have a deck that is similiar to this but i dropped my Nocturnus due to adding white and the likely hood of getting a black card to pop up on top deck.

i like it. You could use phylactery lich instead of geralf as the lich is a 5/5. Also slumbering dragon comes in for one red and is a 3/3. I have thought about using Jarad as well for the sacrifice ability to dmg opponent and then scavenge onto Varolz. With Geralf though you bring him into play, opponent loses two life, sac him with Jarad or fling and they lose three life, undying brings him back for free and opponent loses two more then sac him again for 4 dmg. Lots of options for mid-game.

Made a couple changes to throw in some Dragon Maze stuff. Will see how that pans out.

i would add trepenation blade and get rid of whispering madness and undercity plague since they dont come out till turn 6. You can use trepenation blade on turn 4 and not only do you mill but you get +1/+0 for every card milled till you hit a land. That + unblockable and whatever cipher card you have attached would be sweet.

i think you have a gap on turn 2 for casting anything but damage. I would use Blood Artist. I like mizzium but for overload ur waiting till turn 6 where something like Killing wave or magmaquake can really help you out earlier in the game especially if blood artist is out. Falkenrath noble has same effect as blood artist but flies so that is an option. That and a few duel lands are great. Even if you dont use shock lands at least find some dragonskull summits. Tragic slip is great after you searing spear/dreadbore a creature to use the morbid for getting rid of indestructibles. Keeping your CPT alive is key for first strike and +1/+1. I sideboard rakdos charm for graveyard and artifact issues. I have a red/black/white vamp deck you can check out for ideas. I'm trying to make white work to include Sorin, blind obedience, and Boros Charm.

made a couple changes. Dropped experiment 1 and wasteland viper. added wolfir silverheart and sideboarded gyre sage and one more Domri Rade. Might take farseek out and add in a flyer. Saw something like this with Thundermaw Hellkite but i dont have any. Might throw in something with reach/deathtouch to slow down flyers. Not sure.

Will give killing wave a shot. Played it this last weekend and need to throw in some clifftop retreats to add some more white. Boros Charm worked well and blind obedience probably would have worked better but i wasn't drawing any white mana.

played it today and won 2-1 against a B/G deathtouch. Pulled off Domri's ultimate at the end for the win in game three. I'll probably have to look at some additional direct damage besides pillar of flame.

Thanks for the comment. i ran magmaquake alot prior to adding Sorin. I sideboard Mizzium because I like that I dont have to pay 6 mana for overload. With magmaquake you pay 2 and X so i can hit for anywhere from 1-?? damage to each creature depending on my mana pool and what effect i am trying to have on the opponents creatures. I have used had success wiping the board while triggering blood artist for the win. Depending on counters from cards in play, i have been able to survive hitting my creatures and still wiping my opponent plus gaining life.
