Well, I rather figured the reprinting of specific abilities on cards and renaming them (i.e. Terramorphic Expanse to Evolving Wilds) was a play at both flavor for the set its printed in (Planar Chaos and Zendikar respectively), as well as the creation of a working toolbox of similar cards for the growing popularity of EDH/Commander. At least, it makes sense to me.

Edit: Whoa, don't like Innistrad? I don't think I've ever heard that one before. What's not to like about top-down design based on Gothic horror tropes? (Not being facetious, Mopik, just curious.)

Oh yes there is, plenty of Soulshift (that's the mechanic) in there. I would drive my friends absolutely batshit when I played my BGW spirits in multi-player.

Hmm, definitely could make it tourney playable, though. Just need to tweak it a bit, add some mana fixing, and toss out the Slumbering Dragons (unless you combine it with Aggravate, which is rather mean) for another hasty dragon (like Hunted Dragon),and you could have a nice, quick draconian beatdown in no time.

When you do that, consider using the Zuberas (the earlier ones, not Betrayers versions). White gains life for each Zubera that dies that turn and Blue does card draw. All you need is a sac agent such as Carnage Altar and you have multiplied card advantage/life gain.

I've often thought about making a Samurai theme deck (Was playing during Kamigawa but got entranced by Zuberas and Shrines), but never enacted upon it. Cool deck, man, and I have to wonder, since I don't see that little gem in here; Where's Samurai of the Pale Curtain?
Since you're using mono white weenies, SotPC is a great card, not only for its drop value (2/2 for WW and Bushido 1), but for its ability to basically negate black and flashback, hell, even blue and burn to a lesser degree. Of all the Samurai, this one was my favorite, and it has the most playability outside the set that I could see.

... Hate to start it out like this, but... You spelled 'strength' incorrectly.
Okay, now that I got that over with, I have to ask: is this just casual?
I can tell that it is a Beast deck, but if it is casual or Vintage/Legacy, there are quite a few Beast Tribal combos you're missing out on.
Look through the Onslaught block and you'll find some fun stuff like Provoke and Amplify, made pretty much exclusively for Beasts.

Hehe, yeah, this deck is a tad bit... Pricey.

To finish the game quickly, it definitely makes sense. Possibly sideboard them and some Keen Senses for just in case situations and multiplayer?

You know, I've been thinking on how to make a worthy Norrin EDH for a while now, from making red bounce to using him even as auxiliary. THIS is really, really nasty, and I feel dumb for thinking there was no good bounce abilities in red to activate Norrin (or vice versa, I guess).
Great deck, really, and have you considered Possibility Storm to make it even more messed up?

Great deck idea, man, really like it. Basically, anything in your deck becomes a real monster within 2-3 turns, if not less. My only suggestions that come to mind are Canopy Cover (Could do 3's of Spirit Mantle and Ethereal Armor to make way for two) and maybe... No, that pretty much takes care of it. This deck is already pretty badass on its own. Just maybe the extra added evasion.

Well, in that case, Pyromancer Ascension would be a great addition.

Sorry, one letter off. Banefire is what I meant.

Considered Fatestitcher instead? One mana cheaper, as well as Unearth that's 2 mana cheaper.
Oh, and Balefire would also be a great addition, just in case that occasional blue deck decides to counteract you.

You could probably scrap some of the mountains, considering the curve of the deck is pretty much 1.5.
Could also benefit from some quick creatures, such as Hell's Thunder, Cinder Elemental, or Hellspark Elemental.

I know it's casual, Sure, but maybe add some Exquisite Bloods for some easier kills in multiplayer? Two to match the Sanguine Bonds would probably suffice.

No Cloudshift? Kind of surprised, actually. The Cloudshift/Fiend Hunter combo is pretty easy to pull off, and fairly cheap, though your other blinks work well too. Having some spell retrieval would make this even better by metagame (Archaeomancer, namely.).

It does seem like it would be a lot of fun to play around with, if just a little pricey. I would still try to adapt it to Commander, though, because it seems like it would be fun.

Well, unless he were to add another 18 cards and a commander, as well as lose the duplicates and quadruplicates. Then he could have a Commander deck, albeit a very slow moving one with only 3-4 possible commanders. (Oh, and get rid of the banned cards *cough* Emrakul *cough* Griselbrand *cough*)

You know, I had completely forgotten about her. For some reason only the Flight Alabaster kept coming to mind. Thanks, Alpha.

Hmm, completely forgot about Splinterfright, and I have a few copies of him already. Thanks, Brian. With the 'Tree, I was thinking if it was possible to get it out early, I could use it then to get the jump on someone, but yeah, I see what you mean. If he had trample at least, he'd be a more functional critter. Wonder how he'd fare in red/green aggro, though....
I definitely agree with you on the Tracker's Instincts, great card, and it deserves another. You think the Cagebreakers are fast enough, though? I mean, for metagame they'd be nice, but I think it would be a pain to try to use them early on, since they're kind of unwieldly in price and most of my disposables are early game. I see where you're coming from with them, since a lot of my defense goes with the Viper and Splinter. Not to mention, if I were to slow this deck down, don't you think the Lumberknot would help in tangent with everybody? If I shifted to Splinter though, more would be focused on self-mill though, I see where you're coming from.
