Deck Description

This started out with me just messing around and trying to think of weird themes for my decks. It just so happened that I stumbled across one of my Esperzoa cards from Shards of Alara and it clicked when I found my Guard Gomazoas and others. Jellyfish seemed interesting enough, so I tried out the idea in my head. Then, after messing around with ideas involving Evolve, I realized a key element to the deck overall: control. Because jellyfish have tentacles, it was only natural that they'd be great for controlling, so then it became the overall theme. I just need the Pithing Needles and the Dormant Gomazoas to make this work, so it's fairly inexpensive for a different perspective on the control dynamic.

How to Play

Pretty simple and outright design.
You need at least 2-3 land in your hand to get a good game going, which if the simulation is correct, is about 2/3 of the time.
Afterwards, you set up your defense early game, preferably with a Guard Gomazoa or Gomazoa with a Vanguard's Shield in tow. Sooner or later, you'll run into an Index or Dormant Gomazoa, from whence you'll be able to establish an attacker once Hidden Strings appears (Hopefully the Index/Halimar Depths will have revealed one to you.).
Once the Dormant Gomazoa is fielded with one of the Cipher cards activated, it's a simple case of using the battering ram at hand to knock politely on an unguarded door.
The Esperzoa and his other artifact companions are there in case you either need another heavy flier as well as a travelling defense station. Esperzoa + Pithing Needle + Gitaxian Probe = your opponent's largest barrier. On top of that, you can either play a battle of attrition with the Esperzoa/Tumble Magnet/Necrogen Censer or play controlling god with the previous.
Paralyzing Grasp is there for not only theme-based pun, it is also a control base for any pesky unblockable creatures or progenitors.
