The Meek and the Mighty

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (6 cards)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Based on the idea of combining Meekstone and Juntu Stakes. Basically lay down those along with Blind Obedience to control the field. Seemed like it could be fun!

Comments welcome!

How to Play

Control the board.

4 Meekstone
2 Juntu Stakes
2 Blind Obedience
2 Thalia, Heretic Cathar

The rest of the deck creates superior creatures. They will all become First Strike Deathtouchers with power 2 (so they aren't effected by Meekstone and Juntu Stakes).

3 Archetype of Courage
4 Gifted Aetherborn
4 Hand of Silumgar
4 Vampire Nighthawk

Temporary buffing you can remove before the untap phase:

4 Shuko - On your second main be sure to put one on a Royal Assassin if possible so it will untap your next turn!
4 Tooth of Chiss-Goria

As a bonus you can tutor for every part of the combo because each one is either an artifact or an enchantment (Archetype of Courage, Blind obedience, Meekstone, and Juntu Stakes). And Royal Assassin is there to capitalize on their stuff entering tapped.

Thanks! It is fun; I just play it casually occasionally and while it tends to draw some hate because of the control aspect, but still fun!

I like it. Definitely taking some inspiration here. One thing popped into my head, just seeing as your running Enlightened Tutor, would you consider a few artifact lands? Might help get you out of a mana slump?

If I was streamlining this I probably would consider couple of the artifact lands and swap out the cheap dual lands. But when I have my casual decks I tend to just run the simple duals to keep the $ cost down as much as I can. I actually only have Tutor in there because I happen to already own a set.

How about something like Shade's Form instead of Tooth of Chiss-Goria ?

... On second thought, Tooth does it's thing nicely with Affinity. Still Some recursion could be of use.

Welcome back after your break of xx months years :)
(Or welcome newcomer if you are new to this place)

Sorry to break your train of thoughts, but by the behalf of the community I'd like to warn you that we have been suffering some troll attacks recently.

Because of that, all older accounts that suddenly come alive are viewed with some suspicions.

The best way to avoid wild accusations will be to engage with the community, either by striking up some conversations with random strangers, or at least to put some details in the deck description or how to play sections, as trolls rarely do any of the above things.

I think I can state from us all that we hope you can somehow add more to the community than a raging troll.

Feel free to jump right into any ongoing conversation or "help needed" page that tickles your inner commentator ;)

I'm wickeddarkman, and though I am behind some initiatives against trolls, there are others who use the tag anti-troll to generate awareness of the troll attacks.

I've collected a number of recent troll behaviours, and if you are somewhat curious about those, search for the decktag: wdm trolls
Then click on the deck named: the tools of our trolls.

This greeting is a template that I copy from one of my personal template pages.
Anyone who wants to greet newcomers or old reawakened users should feel free to copy/paste this into one of your decks and use it yourself.

Before you greet, make sure that the person is new/reawakened by clicking on their username and study what years the person last were active. Read the newest decks to make sure others haven't welcomed them already ;)
